Hi Peeps,
I am trying to decide if I want to paint the house myself after the drywall is done, or hire out. Looking for recommendations. Would need the entire place, about 6000 board feet to get primed and painted.

We used Kingtone Painting and Dec. Ltd from two close friend recommendations and overall the guys did a really good job. We have ~2,500 sq.ft including the basement with 9' walls. Including doors, casing and baseboards with 2 coats of Scuff-X, and 2 coats of BM Regal on the walls it was ~$13,000.
You could prime yourself to save some cost but painting a whole house your size is going to take awhile and honestly, just is not going to be as good as professional no matter how good you think you are.

There is zero chance I would paint myself, esp a house that size. Sorry, no recs, but just endorsement for subbing it out haha.
We used JCSB painting recently, happy with the results and they were great to work with. I think it's easiest to find them on facebook.
I used this guy for exterior painting of trim. Well priced and did a good job.

I hate painting, and I hate painters, so it's a tough spot to recommend either option. However, being a new build and the paint happening before flooring (right?) both options should be less bad.

I had my house painted a couple of weeks ago. I installed a lot of wainscotting which was all sprayed and the walls were rolled. Greg (@superflychief; ) and his team from Straight Edge painting did an incredible job.
He did a great job painting my garage walls too, price was on point. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
