Back yard is full of those dandelions but can't spray any weed killer, my dog likes to eat the grass when hes out there.
What product will kill everything? I've got grass growing on the side of house where the drainage rocks are

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.
I've got grass growing in the mulch beds and on the side of the house where I have rocks. Pain in my ass pulling them out all summer long.. decided to pay greendrop for their clearpath vegetation control and hoping it works
GO FLAMES GO!

Ok in regards to lawn, should i topdress with compost or a topsoil? My lawn needs some love again this year, i think a lot to do with the shitty prep work done in the new neighboorhoods (watched the neighbours place get ~3" of topsoil before they sodded it). Sick of my lawn taking till september to look good. I had it power rakes/aerated/fertilized/overseeded but really not seeing results i was hoping for... help!?

Your pets should be fine as long as they aren't in the yard while the product (Killex) is wet on the grass. Killex label here: http://allturf.ca/MSDS_Labels/Miscel...llex_Label.pdf. Check the 'Re-Entry' section. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Roundup will kill everything. Just be careful that the drainage doesn't lead to your grass, or you spray when there won't be rain for a few days.
Salt. A bag of water softener salt, or even ice melt. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Nothing will grow there again.
I have the exact same issue and this stuff worked for me:This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Zero effect to the surrounding lawn, and it's iron based so no nasty chemicals. I believe it's safe for pets and kids.
Or these work really well and don't take long to use, but if you have tons of weeds maybe not so much:

Anyone got an in ground Sprinkler guy? I bought a house with it installed and need to know how to run it.

Do you know where the controller is? It should be in your mechanical room. Very simple to use and program. Find the controller and read the manual online. Other then that turn on the water. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

^ +1 I just got a DIY kit from them and they were great to deal wth
No fertilizer added yet, haven't turned sprinklers on yet as its been reasonably rainy here. Biggest pain in ass has been seasonal bluegrass (poa annua) which leaves lighter spots, have to pull by hand. I think it should die off by summer time, but I hate the patchy look this weed leaves (you can see one in bottom right corner, right by the sidewalk)
Nice looking grass. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Healthy grass usually chokes out any sort of weeds.
Yeah i found the controller and tried to tinker with it but it looks pretty intimidating. I'll have a look on YT. I was just worried id mess something up but it sounds like its pretty easy. Thanks guys! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
That Lawn is very nice for no fertilizer or watering @nismodrifter . Its crazy that now i care so much about my grass lol Both my neighbors have the greenest lawns ever so im trying to fit in haha. Theres one guy 2 doors down who has that artificial grass and he makes the whole loop look bad when you pull in

Do you live in the east side of Coventry Hills? An old co-worker and his neighbor go over the top obsession with their lawns. Makes any lawns posted here look like garbage. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If they're your neighbors. Abort mission, you won't have the time and energy to dedicate to match those Hank Hills.
What kind of controller is it? Model? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Not in coventry and i agree theres no way i can keep up. Ive met both my neighbors and theyre super nice so i do want to try and maintain as much as i can lol I went from a 1 tree yard and not really giving a shit about my lawn to now having 10 plus trees and trying to keep up with the Hanks lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Spent some time on the backyard, a few shrubs/grasses and trees to replace still:
My back yard is a disaster, I don't have a fence in the back as there is a private parking pad. And the rabbits come and dig random spots and sit there all day. No idea how to get rid of the rabbits, every time I get a good patch they decide to dig it to the dirt.
Ive had good luck using this, Rabbit Repellent. I spray it around the perimeter of my lawn. Smells pretty funky of mealworm, but keeps them off it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
