Default Shipping large and expensive packages

Does anyone have a business account with UPS or Fedex? I might have to ship two large speakers across the country and the cheapest I'm seeing is nearly $400 for both (~85lbs/each). They have their own packaging but given what is inside, they're pretty delicate.

PM if you'd prefer to keep it private.

This is a new partnership with paypal. The prices quoted through net parcel with paypal were ~40-50% cheaper than the prices directly on UPS when I shipped something to the US.

I'm not sure if the discounts would be as big for large items, but it's quick to sign up and get a quote. It's linked right through paypal, no new account needed and you can print your own shipping label.

Chitchats near Blackfoot let’s you ship within Canada through a canadapost corporate account, for a lot of my stuff going out east I pay 13$ now instead of 20$ per package. Might be worth getting a quote.

They also can ship with Canpar which is what rockauto used to deliver my heavy ass parts so that might be a cheaper ground shipping option.

You can try asking for quotes at UPS stores. I believe the individual UPS stores get shipping discounts depending on the volume they do. There were a few times where I was trying to ship several packages at a local UPS store with our company UPS account, and they asked what discount rates I'm getting and whether I can use their account for ~30% off listed rates.

Custom broker sounds like your best bet.

What kind of speakers? I have a small collection of huge vintage speakers and do re-foaming, re-capping etc. I also fix vintage amps.
