    Default Live Music in Calgary

Some friends will be here at the end of September and they really like to attend some live music spots in Calgary ( old classics m 80's 90's type). They have been to the toad and turtle and didn't mind it but wondering what other spots there might be in and around Calgary.

Please share some spots you know of!

    thank you

Palomino, ironwood, blues can. If you like folk music there are many folk clubs that have monthly concerts.

The stage bar at Grey Eagle has cover bands Friday and Saturday nights, I've always enjoyed their performances, almost all 80s and 90s music. Smoking is allowed, may be pro or con for you.

Deerfoot Casino constantly brings in older bands (70's, 80's). It's not an everyday thing so you would have to check if a band is in town during your time frame.

Speaking of the folks clubs, I was at the Nickelodeon folk club last night and had a great time. First visit to that one and I think I'll be back. It's close-ish to my house which helps, but it's also a pretty affordable date.
    Tickets for two: $64
Bottle of wine: $20.(or $5/drink for spirits, beer, wine, port)
Big slice of excellent cake $4/each.

Night out for two under $100.
