that's an interesting acquisition. I guess i'll be happy to collect Triangle $ the odd time i go there.

But yes, check Party City or Don's Hobby Shop. Pretty sure they sell costumes year round.

Holy shit. Home of the $8 balloon that's literally the same as the $1.25 Dollar Tree balloon.

Did they buy the Film Projectionist Union and the patents to Pagers & Laser Discs while their were at it?!? This is the dumbest thing I've ever seen Canadian Tire do.

Helium is very expensive. It's going up every year. Source, have a family member who runs a dollar store and sells a Shitton of helium balloons.

Pro Tip - a sure-fire way to make a child cry on their birthday is to rely on those shitty do-it-yourself helium tanks from the likes of Party City to fill balloons the night before... Ask me how I know...

As of today, both Spirit of Hallowe'en stores are open in Calgary: both in former Home Outfitters locations -- next to the Costco at Heritage (SE), and on 130th Ave SE next to Indigo/Starbucks and Home Depot.
