The second pic there looks really slick there, Kenny. Good job (as usual) on the pics!
Took a wrong turn on the first corner and got eliminated (off course). Shouldn't have been dozing off. God dammit! Being #13 doesn't help either hehe.
Lots of people went off course today, a few of the top guys got eliminated early, so I didn't feel as bad =).
Oh well, hope I do better in Solo2 tomorrow.

Looked like a really good turn out. Wish I could have stayed I really like the shotgun starts that reijo is using. Just really cool for the guys in the timing car to see cars go whizzing past all the time.
Some great pics peter. I really like the shot of Ken Blaich on the first page. Now THAT is how close you should be to the conesOriginally posted by Fluidic Digital

There's two types of events going on there really. What that was is called a Pro-solo. Its basically two solo 2 courses of identical length run at the same time (one car in each lane). Think of it as being a drag race with turns basically. A solo 2 is a race event where the course is laid out in pylons on any convenient surface (in the case of the Calgary Sports Car Club, the oval or road course at Race City although usually solo 2s are held in parking lots...if we could find one). A solo 2 is not head to head racing, its one (or two, if the course allows) cars on the course at a time, and each vehicle is trying to set the fastest time for their particular class. Classes vary depending on the type of car and how much is done to it. It is a VERY cheap way to go racing. There's actually a solo 2 event tonight out at race city on the south end of the road course. Its free to spectate, if you want to come out and watch and see what its all about. There will likely be a sizable contingent from this board there as well (although I won't be there due to personal reasons). I'm the solo 2 director for the CSCC, if you have any more questions or anything don't be afraid to post on this board or email me and I'll answer as best as I can. The CSCC website is at http://www.cscc.ab.ca if you want to check it out too.Originally posted by Big_Six_Boy

I suggust you also check out the CSCC forum
Or ofcurse ask and one of many regulars will answer you.
4wheeldrift I'll be there early to setup.
I'll be there tonight. Will make sure I don't take a wrong turn this time hehe. I'll try to marshall as long as possible, but I have a 7am meeting thursday morning so I might leave a bit early.
Curious... is it possible to run 2 cars in 2 different classes? Want to compare the 944 Turbo to the SLK's performance someday (not tonight)
