Default 2021 Shelby Super Snake F150

I have an opportunity to secure me an allocation for one of these with delivery estimated in 8-9 months. It will cost $150K+. I am super tempted by it and I like it enough that I think I might keep it but I was also thinking from perspective of flipping if it comes down to it. You guys think it would be a good investment from that perspective and appreciate in value, maintain its value or go down? Let's make it a poll for fun.

They might make you sign a thing that says you won't flip it. I'm pretty sure Porsche does this and a couple other auto makers, but I'm not sure about Ford.
Didn't John Cena run into a Ford issue with reselling? (Not that a GT40 is the same, but it is still Ford).

Once I buy it they can't stop me. Even before I buy it, I am allowed to sell my allocation as the deposit they are taking is non-refundable. I am trying to find info online on how much MSRP it should be and how much over MSRP they are already asking at $150K because which it's a significant amount, then I think it'll be difficult to unload it for over $150K.

This is not an investment. If you want the car, but the car, but don't think it's an investment.

    They stopped John Cena.

Don’t let your job cloud your judgment.

That said, yes buy the truck. The 5L is on its way out, this will be so rare and desirable.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

I was saying that from the perspective of what my dealer guy told me. Not because I think I can screw with them due to my job lol.

Dealer said I can find someone to take my allocation and my deposit would be refundable and also once I buy I can do what I want. While I like the truck, I don't think I would want to keep it at the price point as I rather have something exotic instead. But definitely a consideration if I can get it as an investment and clear something from it. But doing some online research doesn't seem like it would be that 'slam dunk' of a thing as say a G wagon, so I am getting double minded. I do so a 2019 and 2020 in Ottawa with less than 25K km's listed for 125K, but that's COVID pricing too likely and who knows what it'll be like down the line.

Right, but you know you're not going to take a bath on it, so that offers more incentive. Your risk is lower when you sell it before its first oil change.

Buying that for 150k is like burning money imo. Good luck reselling something like that quickly.

I would be making certain about this.

Even for my 2021 regular run of the mill Powerboost Lariat F150, I had to sign an agreement with Ford Corporate that I wouldn't sell the truck within 6 months or with less than 15,000kms on the truck. This is more to ensure that I wasn't flipping it into the states more than anything though.

I guess technically, they can't stop you from doing that, but if you do, and they find out, which they will, they black list you from buying new vehicles in the future from them.

It is still a dream to get a Ford GT one day, so, I am not risking it LOL

Look up older ones to get a data point on how they appreciate (spoiler alert: they don’t. At all.).

If you like it, buy it. Just don’t think it’s a good investment

Im sorry but i truly believe any of these shelby branded vehicles are as colossal waste of money as dealership custom edition trucks. Youre paying premium for a supercharger and shelby accents.

Nothing pisses me off more than seeing shelby take a regular cab XLT f150, slapping a supercharger, wheels and bumper accents all while having stock crappy halogen headlights and tail lights and having the nerve to ask 80-90k for it. Theres a market for everybody i guess though...

I think you guys don't understand what we, as a group, try to have happen in these circumstances.
