    Default Unique Calgary Food

The GF is visiting from Montreal and I was hoping to find something "Calgarian" that I can send her back with.

Anyone have any good unique or really good Calgary food items that she could take back?

Not Calgary, but nearby, Marvs' soda shop, Chuckwagon Cafe, or Longview steakhouse. All work well to combing with a rip out to Highwood pass and/or Cowboy trail south, some of the best scenery around.

The River Cafe and Rouge are my two choices for inside calgary.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

I apparently misread the OP. For food to take home, Longview beef jerky. It travels well, keeps well, and is tasty as fuck.

Ginger beef. I mean, it's pretty much just like jerky.
