Default Ocean Seabed Mining - the Solution for EV Battery Material Requirements?

Interesting read if you have some time...it's about mining options (ocean seabed) being explored to support primarily EV battery demands in the future (among other reasons).

The article is getting at a different angle but it also highlights that EVs aren't an environmental solution to ICE vehicles, they're just shifting concern from one aspect of the environment to another.

Thats a hella read, but should almost get an app - I used to buy their Mags all the time.

Also, not surprised that Debeers is dreging the coasts along africa - and pulled 1.4 million carats in a year. The earth is 75% ocean so once they figure out the likely locations for deposists, its going to be first come, first serve.

Just the environmental impact of dredging gold in coastal is considered awful for sea-life... And this is being allowed why?

After watching most episodes of Bering Sea gold the one thing I've learned is that you don't want to get your arm stuck in a suction device that is designed to suck up gold along with water.
