Got one for my coffee and it's okay. Definitly very durable and high quality, but like others said the lid doesn't provide much insulation and the coffee does splash out of the spout. With that lid I find that my coffee gets 'warm' (from hot) within an hour or so.

4 x YETI mugs. Not sure how you guys are getting "warm" coffee after an hour or so. Can make a coffee at 8 am and it is still hot by 12...

I think some people are talking about the actual traditional mugs and some are talking about the travel type mugs (Rambler/tumbler style) which are better sealed/insulated.

The regular mug kept coffee hot enough for about 3 hours in my cold basement with the lid, after that it stays warm for a while but is definitely cooling off.

They make a beer cozy that I am interested in haha.

    I have a couple beer cosy’s.

My only comment is if your van is off dimension ( looking at you banquet ) they don’t fit well.

Perhaps they have lids like this one of mine that has an "always open" lid:

Even with that it works very well however much more than an hour and you're drinking lukewarm at best.

Just won a Yeti cooler at our golf tournament, I instantly had people asking to buy it off me. I didn't realize how expensive they are luckily I was looking at buying a cooler anyways

Sell yeti to coworker. Buy normal cooler.

    Profit.

That said they are great products, just expensive.

yep similar to that, but the lid sort of closes ( not leak proof). . an hour or so at best.

It's perfect for filling at home and finishing at the office though, I have found that even with the "open" top I use it much more than my Contigo mugs now.

Yeah it's a great mug to hold for around the home and office, and it fits a full cup of the bigger size Nespresso Vertuoline, so I use it quite a bit for that, but not for the road.

This is my fave yeti product. Quality bucket right here: https://www.amazon.ca/YETI-Loadout-R...dDbGljaz10cnVl
The comments on this rival the ones for the Sugar-free Haribo bears IMO.

    You're missing the magnet-sealer-dealer-thingy.

I have two of those mugs and get 2-3 hours of "hot" coffee before it transitions to lukewarm. I'm not sure why my experience is so different than yours.

It's also the very first rendition of the mugs. The new ones seem to be better

This one was from a supplier, it came that way! And probably just because I tend to drink the first half to 2/3rd's quite quickly so at that point there's just less volume. I may have an incorrect description of "lukewarm" also, as I like my coffee quite hot so I just call it cold when it probably isn't.....

Its cause its the old version of the mug. the new ones are stamped with a YETI logo, not laser etched

Hey fair enough. I'm going to do a test: brew a cup of coffee and then leave it in the mug all day with a temp probe inside it. Would make for an interesting test.

These are the kind of things I enjoy. Especially if it time stamped the temperature changes haha

I have no stake in this cause I don't own anything from YETI, nor do I want any, but I'm looking forward to this purely for the data analysis haha

    Gonna launch mugsyoucanprobe.com, Cam? haha

Yeah I am not sure it's worth $30 at the end of the day, but the quality and coatings are excellent. Definitely a cut above the usual suspects like Thermos, etc. I use it every day so it's worth it to have a nice one IMO.

I have this one from Zojirushi for the car and it's expensive as well but extremely easy to clean and worth every penny:

    https://www.amazon.ca/ZOJI-Zojirushi...gateway&sr=8-3

It works too well sometimes, I have to let the coffee cool down before I put it in the mug or after a 3 hour drive it's still way too hot to drink and I have had zero coffee I can't really be upset about that though haha.
Those Zoji and Tiger thermos are much nicer!!
    The Original !
