Id also say, they are better then most of the 'equivalent'. My 20 oz is way better then my equivalent stanley, and no gross contraption to get grungy

Yeah I am not sure it's worth $30 at the end of the day, but the quality and coatings are excellent. Definitely a cut above the usual suspects like Thermos, etc. I use it every day so it's worth it to have a nice one IMO.

I have this one from Zojirushi for the car and it's expensive as well but extremely easy to clean and worth every penny:

    https://www.amazon.ca/ZOJI-Zojirushi...gateway&sr=8-3

It works too well sometimes, I have to let the coffee cool down before I put it in the mug or after a 3 hour drive it's still way too hot to drink and I have had zero coffee I can't really be upset about that though haha.

YETI Mug to keep my coffee hot when I drink it slow:

Curious over the long term what you think of this. I've had metal Thermos tumbler for years and it works well, albeit the paint doesn't hold up that well. In comparison, the Yeti equivalent doesn't sound like it does well at all and costs more...

I’ve had my yeti 20 oz for 3 years and it still looks brand new, used daily. No paint chips or anything

I’ve had mine for a few months and I love it. Wife kept stealing it so I bought another one for her too. They are really well made, keep your drink hot for long, and you don’t have to worry about chipping because the coloured part is solid plastic/resin. $45 for a mug sounds steep but when you consider how long they should last it’s worth it IMO

$45 for a coffee mug you use daily makes more sense than $600 for a cooler you use ten days a year.

Plus. Way more people get to see the logo on your coffee mug than the logo on your cooler

I assume the lid hasn't been a problem? I might give it a whirl.

Seems like this has its own thread now lol.

I guess you can have a customized Yeti! It’s only in the US though.. I might ask my friend to take it here for me (have it shipped to his house in the US). Lol. I have to check it out first what this customization is all about.

Same lid since I’ve had it. Solid. It’s also the premier beer drinking tumbler for walking the dog in the afternoons in the neighbourhood

I had one of their coolers, and while great, sold it for the equivalent Cabelas version. Got the 60Qt for the price of a 25 yeti..

Had a 30oz tumbler for over a year. Paint wore off in one spot from when I wedged it in somewhere to hold it. Lid is still good, the magnetic piece happens and closes is genius. Nothing to ware out. I also bought the handle for it and it needs replacing. Kinda junk compared to everything else Yeti, but cheep considering Yeti.

    Would recommend

I just use mine around the house so that I don't have cold coffee when I am drinking slowly over a long period. For that it's awesome, keeps coffee hot or very warm for 3-4 hours just sitting out on the desk. The lid doesn't have any insulation I don't think, but it's sealed with a gasket and angled so nothing will spill if coffee splashes out of the spout. It doesn't sweat and is always room temperature to the touch. Coating seems very durable but it's not going to get abused with my usage - it's actually designed for camping.

The lid is not leak proof though, there is a spout to drink out of and a small ventilation hole. If you dropped it the lid probably wouldn't pop off though, it's on pretty tight and spills would be minimal.

The best one IMO is still the Zojirushi model that I posted, it works too well, to the point you need to cool your coffee down before you fill it or you won't be able to drink it for the next 8+ hours haha.
