I don't think we ever found out the cause of the ped bridge failure in Miami. What about this one? Looks like the cables snapped.

Damn I thought that vehicle was gonna make it over in time...
Damn, just goes to show how strong the arch was!
Shit... Almost made it.

Taiwan bridge is falling down, falling down.

They pretty definitively nailed the ped bridge failure in the official report, the bridge members were poorly designed and no checks had been done to ensure it could withstand the construction method they used. Pure engineering failure. Multiple parties failed to react appropriately to reports of the span cracking, which is why the roadway wasn't closed and let to deaths, but that bridge was coming down regardless. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Yeah, didn't realize that the case was closed. I couldn't find anything last time, that was may be several months ago, could be a year, losing track of time.
Anyway, this is where the Taiwan bridge is, for the armchair investigation team. Looks like a nice spot for seafood. It stood for 20 years, so it's not like the design and the build totally didn't work. A combination of accelerated corrosion plus lack of maintenance perhaps?

I think the truck driver is still alive. They found the bodies of 4 fishermen so far, 2 missing. The bridge landed on a boat or two.
I bet that driver is going to Taiwan on at the pub when he recovers.
