When you land, just hit a clothing store and pick up what you need. Don't have to iron anything.

My suits are from the UK. Marks and Spencer. They pretty nice to travel with and dam comfy. Some are machine washable and the shirts are crease free.
    They ship to Canada too.

Laundry / pressing service at the hotel? Charge to room, expense room charges, win?

That's a really good idea and one that works well if you are in the same hotel for a few nights. Abouyt half the time I'm staying in the hotel for one night only. I suspect most hotels don't do "1-hour" laundry or pressing.

This is how I used to travel to Vancouver. Didn't bring anything at all, just me, my phone and my headphones through security and on the plane. It feels so free to fly that way. Security always asks why I have nothing with me. Get to the hotel, and tell them they lost my luggage, and they'll get you hooked up with mouthwash, toothbrush, hair gel, everything. Only downside is you gotta carry all your shopping back, so it was really the only time I ever checked my bags instead of carrying them on the plane.

This was one of the reasons I wanted to buy a place in Hawaii back in the day. Have a 2nd set of clothing and everything there. Just hop on a plane to Hawaii and start drinking.

I need to pull my life together apparently. I find it challenging. Or just stop whining, but that seem unlikely.
I have packed for a week in a carry on and included a suit, a jacket/vest/pants and the typical business casual and full casual night out wear. Packing techniques are your friend.

    I really like this one:

These shirts are your answer for dress shirts: https://propercloth.com/dress-shirts?search=merino

They come wrinkle free right out the dryer, are insanely wrinkle resistant and you can wear them a few times before they start to show wrinkles or smell. They come out wrinkle free as long as you don't just jam them into your bag. They also don't feel like most shitty non-iron fabrics which is a huge plus.

For blazers wool is pretty wrinkle resistant. Lots of companies make "travel" blazers. O'Connors here in Calgary will usually have some available and the guys there will be able to help you out with what packs well and what doesn't.

I used to have a Columbian neighbour (super nice) and he said that when he traveled back and forth (once a month, for work) he stopped carrying any luggage as he was normally put into secondary inspection every time (everywhere).

The CBSA and US staff just looked at him funny every time. He was sent to secondary once and was asked 'why are you here with nothing?' LOL

    Colombian suspiciously travelling with nothing.

To me, that screams check his prison purse rather than innocence.

Hahah, exactly. Dude was super nice and honest family man (like most columbians). Never gave attitude or anything like that. He got checked less (secondary) but got stranger looks more.

    235 each?

Also, am I the only person who has never had a merino wool anything, regardless of cost, not shrink no matter how carefully you wash it unless you only dryclean it?

I went full baller at bay days today at lunch. Two shirts, two pairs of pants, all "non-iron" plus a belt for $160.
I'll pass on shirts over $200 each.

Also, you guys will laugh, but some of the shirts at marks are nice. Most are boring but they have a few interesting ones mixed in there.

Cold water wash; air-dry by laying it flat on a thick bath towel overnight near a place that gets direct sunlight. You can buy these nettings at the dollar store so it doesn't stretch if you have a top-loader:

Business travel pro tip: Hang your clothes in the bathroom right when you get to your hotel room; take a hotter than usual shower and the steam will minimize the wrinkles of your clothes. Or run the hot water while you watch TV if you don't care about Greta.

Lulu ABC pants get packed with me for tons of work trips. Don't seem to wrinkle as bad as other pants and are way more comfortable for planes etc. Thow a sport coat in there and they still look good enough for 99% of meetings without having to pack suits etc.
