I do not, just pressure load up to 20psi in the tank.

I didn’t know water could saturate to 40,000ppm, doesn’t have the buffering capacity.

Also the gas won’t be liberated until there’s massive turbulence, heat or chemically. Since I’m assuming you’re a tanker or vac truck with a pump, you can’t handle anything hotter than 80-90 per procedure. Am I wrong?

Are you thinking like 400ppm? Still will drop you, but not instant death.

I don’t doubt the producer gas from the separators are 4%. That’s nasty.

I’ve worked in facilities with 2%, 35% and most recently 14%. All produced gas numbers, the water after 3 phase separation was almost wiped out. Like under 20ppm.
Any moment in the fluid is enough to liberate the gas, the fluid temperature was right around 70 coming from the hole to the test tanks then almost immediately pushed into our tanks.

Yes, 40,000 ppm. 2 weeks ago I was on a well pushing 14% sour. At those numbers you test the fluid daily for the %’s to make sure you have an air crew on standby while loading your truck if anything goes wrong.

I’m not an expert by any means on the chemistry of the fluid I mearly go by what I’m told by the MSDS and dangerous goods paperwork before I load. It’s updated daily on these sites because the %’s are always changing.

Calm down snowflake, it was clearly aimed at people bragging / touting their poor sleep habits. While nightshifts are bad enough for you, if you get enough sleep you aren't in the worst shape.

Getting caught looking can work to your advantage bro. Combine confidence with that interest and you have a winning recipe.

Interesting. This is rough googling but I found 60degree water can only hold 1.5g of pure H2S within 1000g max solubility.

So like .15%, or 1500ppm. Is my marth right?

I’m no expert either, and oil field work is dangerous. I’m always putting my teams through hazards assessments and field level assessments. Good to ask questions.

I’m guessing you’re getting gas and water as a fluid, not just water. The rig (assuming) could bleed it off, no?

Just be safe. The more you know the better equipped your are.

Those % Sour numbers are probably at the wellhead measured off the test seps as % of the flowing stream. They just keep that % as the sour content of every product stream as a worst case scenario rather than continuously measuring it at every point in the process, there really isn’t any point. But off test steps the water isn’t even close to cutting clean so it’s definitely not just water in the truck. Just vast majority water lol.

So no that’s probably not the % H2S of any gases in the truck, but the whole process is going to be critical sour ops right down to the water trucks JIC.

14% is stinky af though. Surprised people still drill that garbage.

I'll be the first to admit that I'm not a pro when it comes to the ladies but I think most girls would find a guy doing this is creepy. It's like telling a kid not to look at the Donkey Kong game in the display window at Walmart, they can't help it. Remember that from the 90s?

It's pretty simple: if the guy is attractive, they wont think it's creepy. If he's not attractive, then he's creepy.

    My wife's a hot nurse.

She'll work 12 hour days from 7am-7pm and then switch over to 7pm-7am in less than 24 hours. I have no idea how she does it, she is incredible.

I personally can't do complex work after 10pm, I have to shut it down because I am not efficient or effective with my outputs.

Agreed, I dont know how nurses do that. My cousin's wife is a nurse, he works insanely long hours, she has an awful schedule all over the map, only made worse by the fact they have two young kids. Thank god his mom is willing to do all the babysitting...... jesus.... quite glad thats not me in that situation.

We really should be changing our shift work schedules, the flip is whats causing all of the problems for sure. It makes travelling easier though, because crossing timezones is just like any regular workweek.

I do 4 on 4 off, 2x 6-6 days, then 2x 6-6 nights, then 4 off. That first day is a wright off for sure. I flip into a different rotation on top of that, a monday to friday of 8 hour shifts, days and evenings, for 2 months on end at least. Its strange. I find I really miss the 4 days off when I'm not in that shift though, its so nice to get things done, camp, hit the mountains, brew, shop, just chill.

I probably know your nurse wives, where do they work??
