TDK cars driving around downtown?? What are they?

The last few days I have seen this car or cars a few times, it's a blue car I think it's a carolla, it's got tdk decals on the doors and some sort of equipment on the roof, I thought at first it was a street view car for a non google company but I am just curious if someone actually knows what they are doing.

I'll try to get a pic next time I see one.

Yeah that's why at first I thought it was a camera car but now I think that camera is lidar or something testing some self driving stuff.
