Default Is my CPU/Mobo/RAM worth anything?

Playing around with the idea of upgrading my (8 year old) computer since I have a balance on my wellness spending account that I need to use up by the end of the year.

    Intel i7 2600k
    Gigabyte GA-H67MA-UD2H-B3
    16GB RAM

    Is this worth anything?

    $150-200 tops.

    Ram is worth the most.

I just sold an i7-4770, mobo, and 32GB RAM for under 200.

Wow, that legitimately surprises me. I was expecting $50-60 haha

Maybe I'll look into upgrading. Thanks guys.

What's the go-to place for computer parts nowadays? Can I expect much savings on Black Friday or are they no better than the regular "weekend specials"?

Memory express isnt the proce leader it used to be, but they still carry almost everything and price match. Check amazon, newegg and mem ex and see whose got the best price and try to get mem ex to price match it.

SSDs have really come down and with AMD's latest lineup you can probably build a great pc for under 1500 excluding peripherals.

I definitely don't need to spend that much since I'm only looking to upgrade the CPU/Mobo/RAM. It just occurred to me I also get a discount at Memex through work too.
