Well that's the thing. Some prefer the extra slow style and others just want the max boost for better or worse.
If you want to drop 35k on something, I have several suggestions that would be more fun.

In the RED corner, we have passive investing, and in the BLUE corner, we have active investing.

    FIGHT!

On one hand I love passive investing, but on the other Red is the colour of Trudeau, communism, and all that I hate.

I have never been more torn.

Oh I should have stuck with that. I got double owned in Aug.

I decided the market was too high so I dumped all my TFSA XQQ (Nasdaq) at $61 and switched it all to HMMJ at $14. Well the XQQ is at $69 and the HMMJ is at $8.xx

haha $35k swing in the wrong fkn direction lol

All I can think of is the opposites on Seinfeld where George can't get anything right haha
It's all good man. I've made my share of mistakes here and there which is how I've arrived at the conclusion that slow-and-steady is the way to go for myself. I remind myself that investing isn't about getting rich quick, more like watching paint dry so my biggest asset is time itself. If I give my money 30 years to grow and stay the course with brass balls, I'm fairly certain I'll be okay

Once I get to a point (aka if I ever manage to feel this way) where I have a substantial egg's nest, I'll use some gains for equities of a more speculative nature. I've only made several swing trades this year, couple of them being Canada Goose and Shopify.

It may be of no consolation but I was waiting on a a massive windfall earlier this year and only got the money in March when I dumped the lump sum into the market....in April after most of the correction had recovered haha.

VGRO is an ideal set & forget option for 'lazy' investors IMHO. VBAL and VCNS are also good if you are older and want more security.

....this morning I dropped everything into VGRO ETF, here is hoping things work out long term!

It's been doing pretty well lately too, but it's definitely a long-haul pick.
