Earlier this summer got tagged in a speed trap (going down 10th street along confed) for doing 62 in a 50 zone, within 2 mins of leaving my house. Ticket was never entered into the system so they invalidated it after the court date.

Last year got one for turning illegally into Rosedale on 16 ave because it's before 9 am

A window tint ticket ~ 4 years ago.

I think that's about it for the last 10 years.

I can't even remember the last time. Ever since CPS seems to have abandoned LiDiar within the city (they might still use it but I haven't seen a LiDar trap on my routes in probably 10 years), all you have to do is look for the blatantly obvious photo radar vehicles and slow down. Half the time they even have their 4-ways on lol. They don't even use different vehicles or bother changing the wheels from typical CPS loadout so you only have to look for 2 or 3 types, and most of them still have the flashes on the roof instead of the grille which you can see from a mile away. On top of that they don't even pick new spots - 9/10 times they are in the exact same spots. If there is a blind spot in a construction zone or something that they can hide behind, slow down briefly. There are also giant signs alerting you of every intersection camera, and Google maps alerts you of them as well. Google Maps and Waze also show you speed traps people report. It's pretty difficult to get a ticket these days if you are paying attention IMO.

It was a lidar trap that got me in July. Guy was hiding behind a telephone pole with his little tripod gun.

I still see it used often enough, but that involves an officer having get out of his car and stand so they probably opt out of using the lidar as much as possible.

I see lidar traps in the ring road construction pretty regularly. Won't think about when my last ticket was. superstitious I guess..
