In times like these, it is nice to reaffirm those around me who have a level head and aren't idiots.

Also nice to know who to avoid in the future as people tend to show their true thoughts when situations arise.

As I continue to look for work, its been really great catching up with old friends and colleagues over lunches/coffees/beers. Despite the market conditions, I genuinely feel there are a lot of people who are trying to help me where they can and people are inherently good.

Literally every single person I know is making fun of hoarders and shit talking about them... yet I have to wonder which of them are closet-hoarders.

Good for you! What a nice post.
I just think it's wonderful when people choose to focus on the many positive aspects of an adverse situation.
This will be a great story when (not if) you are on to bigger and better things.

I've avoided posting for a long time, my husband passed away in Jan, very suddenly and unexpectedly. His work family has been amazing to me, checking on me more regularly then our day to day friends. Get your wills appropriately done, make sure your spouses have all passwords and make sure everything is joint. I can't even get into his computer or his phone, and the amount of bureaucracy is astounding to me. I thought we were prepared; we were not. Make every day count; the stuff you accumulate means nothing in the end. So make some memories, and don't leave anything unsaid. We never left anything unsaid, we just celebrated our 25 wedding anniversary, but I can't describe the pain. Be nice to people, it's true, you never know what someone else is going through.

Popeye's put an extra chicken strip in my family's lunch today. That's like a dollar worth of free food. What a day!

I'm still alive for the moment. Sun is shining bright, Calgary has extra bright sun because of altitude.

Congratulations. You are now raining money.

I hope that it rains money for everyone this week.

You all are like TP to me. While some of you are 1-ply and others 3-ply, you all come in handy in times of need.

I managed to join a local car group with limited membership opportunities which should allow me more affordable track time in the coming years.
