I had a craving for Wendy's food today, went and bought a son of baconator, chili and coke, and all three parts of that meal were delicious. Everything I was hoping for.

I was meant to be heading to Houston in the morning at a 6AM flight and catch a connection from Toronto. Then had a car booked for a drive to Austin from Houston (going for F1). But we just an email saying flight has been canceled. Felt like shit.

Called AC, waited an hour on music but eventually the guy put us on a direct flight from Edmonton to Houston that leaves a couple of hours later and arrives a couple hours earlier in the afternoon. But then had Turo booked accordingly and while the guy can't bring the car as early as we'd like but agreed to bring it 2 hours earlier so we only need to kill an hour and half at the airport. Good news all in all I think.

Every 3rd day of the month I enjoy raping the face of my bald headed guy friend. These things are true and stuff.

Got Christmas lights installed yesterday as part of an early bird special. First time having Christmas lights (our old house was a townhouse so never bothered) so this is a milestone.

For anyone else looking to have someone install them instead of yourself, would highly recommend Jeff at Calgary XMas Lights! He will even take them down in the spring for free if you commit to using him the following fall.

Last day at work today. Manager is away today, so yesterday they bought in a big lunch for me and everyone.
Its a mainly female office, so I brought in two bottles of wine and chocolate (from England) for everyone.

Do you return your Turo halfway through your trip to try something new?

    I’m confused.

Is this a things I’m grateful for thread, or a Say something nice thread?

    Not the same lol.

I guess it does say in the OP, post something nice that happened to you.

90% sure that OPs post about his coffee being hot, even though not a yeti, was a shot-over-the-bow at me. Therefore, not nice. Thread fail!

But you love your yeti, so that's nice.

I'm working really hard these days on a glass half full mentality. Some days it comes easy, others I have to work at it. I do find that saying positive things out loud, or typing them, helps a lot. And THAT is nice too.

Tough finding positive things to say sometimes. Speaking them out loud Is easy, say it to a group of friends. That makes it real!

Think of the amount of time you spend on Beyond. Think of when you joined vs. your age.
You might be surprised that you spend more time reading posts or talking to people on here than some of your friends in person

It's been a pretty good week for lack of traffic issues, considerate driving and near-misses. The previous week was NOT that way, so I'll try to be positive and not take it for granted.

Post something nice that happened to me?

I got to sleep in and will probably do so tomorrow again. Much needed after a 26 day stretch of work with no days off.
    Will fuck off, again.
