May be famous last words as I just took on clients in 3 new markets. But till now it's been a nice summer of 9-10 am starts and patio lunches!

Got laid off a couple of weeks ago, but it is giving me the opportunity to truly decide what, if anything, else I want to do with the next chapter of my career. So that's good, right?

Well, on the bright side, I think we can worry a lot less about protecting players from the expansion draft . . . ***laughs***cries***cries***

I used to always hate grilling chicken but I've been doing great at it this year. Made some teriyaki thighs today and they were great. Grilled some Taber corn with it. Wife was impressed.

Sent the old Suburban to it's eternal resting place, replaced with slightly newer Yukon XL. Insurance company (AMA) said they now need to move the Yukon XL to a commercial policy as opposed to our personal policy where they originally put the Suburban - bonus was a 10% reduction in insurance. Yeah, AMA was well aware they put my work Suburban on our personal policy (their direction) but now things have apparently changed for whatever reason - bonus for us.

Like those fullsize gmc SUVs. That IS nice.

Had the big shot at work pay me a clearly accidental compliment today. Felt all warm inside. It's nice.

I know not everyone feels the same way, but I LIKE that it's cooler overnight now. This is my favourite weather of the year. +20 days, +5 nights. Can sleep well, but days are fine for hiking/biking etc.

September and Smarch are my two favorite months.

The only thing that makes September suck are hangry wasps.

After (*checks calendar*) 5 months of WFH, my wife finally figured out how to properly load the dishwasher.

It's only truly nice if you tell her that.

It’s great how she’s been playing you. Women are born with an innate organizational, packing skill.

She slipped once, did it well, and you caught her.
