I think the gap between the base GT500 and Vette was made up on the straights exclusively. I would guess the tires are worth more than 2.5 and even closer to 3, again good street tire versus a R comp. It would be neat to see a sector by sector breakdown of all 3 cars. The fact that the could get such a heavy pig to perform so well is impressive. I would rather still have a GT350R.
Yeah agree with all of that.

The 500 is impressing me more and more however.

Just need to wait for lightning lap. Also you need to be as lucky as Darkane to find a gt500 for msrp.

Just to be clear I'd love a mustang

Some dick at Cam Clarke ford told me Alberta side dealers had a verbal agreement to only sell 30k above sticker. Haha fuck them.

I’m not honestly looking right now, but never know!

This sounds exactly like what a dick salesperson would make up to avoid losing a sale and deter you from getting a better deal across the street.

I can’t believe nobody is impressed that the Mustang posted the same track time as the 911 GT3 RS

Oh it's definitely impressive. They brought this beast a long damn way! That being said while the performance is there, I can't imagine it having the same refinement is the Porsche. But man does it ever sound amazing.

It doesn't have to compete with the Porsche GT3 RS, since it's half the price.

It’s amazing no doubt. There’s another video by throttle house, the 500 lost to the 1LE. Great video, cooked tires on the 500.

It's amazing, such a wild car.

I would take the Porsche because I always wanted one but god damn that's a beast.

It's more impressive to me that a N/A 6cyl with ~240 less HP and a lot less torque can post the same time as the Mustang with a gigantic supercharged V8.

No doubt it's a beast, but I bet 9/10 people would still take the Porsche haha.

I'd love to own a GT500 though, cool car for sure.

I mean if you can afford the Porsche then it's a no brainer really.

I think that's true of any car that's 2x as expensive as the competition. It's kind of a silly comparison.

Seems like the Mustang is yet again...a one trick pony.

    I’ll see myself out.

That is a golden ticket car with both rare options.

30k markup is what I’d expect, however someone with 5k over can probably snag it.

They won’t allow you, But you could re-sell that thing for 120USD all day. Likely 130USD.
