Default Anyone have a hookup at MemEx?

Looking to make a $3.5k buy and was hoping someone had a hookup that may be able to save me a few bucks.

If your not in a hurry I'd say wait 3 weeks. Black friday will have some pretty decent deals and there's usually sales a week before now since its a black friday week

LOL she will be getting my old workstation. I was planning on upgrading soonish regardless.

    Current workstation is already a bit of a beast (i7 6700k / 32GB ram / GTX1080 / 1TB SSD / etc.). She'll be more than happy with it.

I do a lot of video, photo editing, and gaming. So it needs to be a beast. I won't tolerate a slow anything.

100fps @ 4k? Damn. What GPU are you thinking?

I can't help with MemEx, but I do recommend building your system on PCPartPicker and waiting for the November sales.
I can eat more hot wings than you.

Pretty much this. I love my 21:9 monitor, although it definitely takes better hardware to keep the framerate up.

GTX2080ti. I recognize that 4K @ 100fps may not be sustainable, so If I have to get a second one I'll do that.

With a sound answer like that, I'm keen to know which monitor you're getting.

lol I may just keep my current 3440x1440 for the time being, get a GTX2080S, and wait until the next gen cards can push 4k @ 100fps. Thoughts?

TBH I haven't kept up with GPU developments in the past few years. Not the hardware geek I used to be.

Yeah, thats my X34 Native too. I was hoping to read that you're going 4k UltraWide.
Give that to the wife, and get something (3840x2160) like this: https://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX61697

I want something curved. My existing 34 is a curved and I really like that about it.

Lol someone makes a thread about them looking for hookups at a shop to purchase some things - advise comes down that the items the person is looking for are not very good. Typical Beyond I guess, haha.

Don't let Mitsu see this thread or we'll all have essays to read about PC builds haha.

Cam if you are thinking of future-proofing, with raytracing coming online the next few years for many games, it will hit your FPS quite a bit. Right now its not a must-have, but in 2-4 years, it will be the shit.

Having a card you can double up on in the future is a good idea for that time - 2080ti is a good one for now.

I just talked to a friend of mine who works @ Memex and basically there's barely any margins on the products that they sell. The only time they make commission is from the warranty that they sell or from accessories. Any big ticket items like motherboards, cpus, etc. They make like $0.25 - $8 on average in commission on those. He just showed me a build he did for a customer for around $2500 and the commission on that was $20
