    Default Keyboard & Mouse Recommendations?

I've been working mobile for ages but am finally getting a desk and monitor again which means it's also time for a new keyboard & mouse!

I spend a lot of time typing for work and do a lot of creative work in lightroom / photoshop (zero time gaming) so I don't mind spending a bit on something that will be quick and comfortable to type on and last a few years.

I've done quite a bit of research into options but have been surprised at how mixed reviews are for a lot of the Logitech and Microsoft stuff that I thought was quality. I don't really care if it's wireless or corded but want something that has a nice feel and is reliable (which seem to be two of the common complaints I've seen with a lot of the reviews for keyboards I was looking at).

    What does Beyond recommend?

The place I'm working at now gave us an ERGO assessment when I started. Was very surprised at how bad my setup was compared to what was deemed ERGO.

Currently using a medium Newtral 2 mouse with wrist/palm pad thing and an Evoluent flat keyboard with left side number pad.
Everything has been great and i find the wrist strain has lightened up a lot.

Wow - that's quite the wormhole to go down. I always pictured these keyboards as being more intended for gaming? Are they good for day-to-day office work?

The only one I can see for sale in Spain from their recommended list (with a number pad) is the Redragon - not sure if it's worth throwing 50 Euros at to try?

You need to get use to it but once you do you'll love it. Bonus that its spill and dust resistant

I wonder if we're at the same company. Only company anyone have a shit about desk height, trying 5 keyboards or mice combinations, or introduced to vertical mice. Hell we can have a Wacom tablet without question. My massage therapist has said things feel better the last few times and may be coincidence, but a positive in any regard.

How loud do you find the Red MX Cherry switches? I think that's my biggest concern with a mechanical keyboard is the constant clacking sound...

I'm not going to lie its a little bit noisy compared to the standard office keyboards but I don't find it bad and neither do my co-workers
Try it out and if you don't like it then return it. Alternatively you could look for the MX Red/Black silent version if you find the noise too much

Well, options in Spain are limited but I decided to go with the Corsair K70 LUX RGB with Cherry MX Brown switches. It's a Spanish layout so hopefully I can figure out my way around that without too much difficulty (it's probably good for the long-term as I work on learning Spanish regardless). I also went with a Logitech MX Master mouse.

We'll see how it works out... I'm sure it will be a huge improvement over the foldable/mini travel keyboard/mouse set-up I've been using the last several years!

If you done like that mouse I've been really liking the logitech g203 prodigy. I've got a logitech 305 for my laptop, but enjoy a cord at home. Both were roughly $40 CDN.
