It won’t help. But that’s the kind of garbage I would be writing my MLA’s constituency office about.
I love it when Karen's post online about writing their MLA's to demand answers.

After the 14 day grace period is up, looks like I'll be on the road with an unregistered trailer. Hopefully early next week it will be resolved.
Do you have an old trailer plate registered to you? If so, just slap it on and call it a day. Trailer plates are weird, the way it was explained to me is that the plate is registered to you, not the trailer as you don't have to renew them, so if you have a trailer plate already, technically, you don't have to register the new trailer to it.

Maybe our resident registry agent can shed some light on this and the whole situation. Paging @dannie

Yes, I am currently using the plate from my old holiday trailer. The plate says CONTINUOUS meaning no expiry, but the plate still has to be registered to the trailer meaning VIN is attached to plate and attached to my name, which is on the bill of sale. After the grace period, I'd be on the road towing a non-registered vehicle. That's my understanding. Grace period ends Sept. 5 so it probably won't be a huge issue unless I go to use it again or need to move it.

Still, need to get the conviction off my DL. Was also hoping dannie would chime in here.

I only read the last few pages, but was the conviction on your DL due to the RO stunting ticket?

Yes there is a false conviction on my DL due to RO stunting. This is preventing me from accessing registry services. It shouldn't be on my abstract... at least I fucking hope not. But with how fucked up this is, it wouldn't surprise me. I considered pulling it today but decided to wait until early next week.

It's actually the minister of justices office you need to start with. They'll back channel transportation and resolve it - but without bringing it to the ministers offices attention - you'll go in circles like this. Justice and transportation have communication issues regularly and these issues have been known and unresolved for many years now.

Pre covid it was +/-2weeks to get contact and things sorted.

Yeah phone doesn't get you far other than hours on hold. email cc your mla, ensure you attach docket # case# whatever so they can start on their end and your contact info... You may need to sign a form with your MLAs office so they can talk to them on your behalf.

My MLA is minister of Justice lol, at least he was until earlier this week. Now he’s minister of hookers and blow or something similar.

What's the male equivalent of Karen - Matt or Brad?

Sadly it's the copying the constituency office that seems to get the ball rolling, then they follow up with Justice - then your email gets out of the file folder onto someone's desk, who actually works on it. Otherwise it's however long it takes for someone to get through the stack of emails to get to yours.

It's great fun dealing with government agencies on their internal screw ups.

Alright, update. The conviction is now off of my DL so I have access to registry services again! However, we strike one problem down, only to find another. The registry office I was at now won’t accept the BOS for my trailer. When they punch in the VIN it comes up as a 2001. The seller has 2002. Quick and easy solution is to write 2001 and initial it with seller name. Should I do that?

Since when did registry agents become this stingy with BOS’s?

Same thing happened with my trailer. previous owner had it as 2008 when it was registered as 2009 (typical model year vs manufacturer year i'd think). I'd just change it and initial. Maybe call the previous owner to tell them you're doing that in case anyone asks

Finally! Got the trailer registered everyone. What a journey that was.

As for this ticket, it's all squared up for trial later this year. I don't have a problem taking it to trial. I've talked it up enough that I feel like I owe it to all of you to take it all the way. rage2 said it best, quitting now would be quitting on beyond. As I said way back on page 1... we have to try. Hopefully the trial goes ahead and we can reach a conclusion here.

    Will update accordingly.

Just to recap - you are going to argue that the application of 'stunting' charge was not warranted for these circumstances? (seeing as how its not technically illegal to lane split).

You were not revving your engine or otherwise engaging in distracting behaviour.
