Default Random alert every morning at 7am even after two factory resets

Thought I'd give this a shot here.

My dads Huawei P20 has all of the sudden started sounding an alert every morning at 7am.

I factory reset his phone twice now.

The first time I loaded back up everything including his previous apps.

The second time I only reloaded his contacts off Google and went into play to reload WeChat WhatsApp and Google Pinyin....I also did not reconnect to wifi as not to automatically download the latest android updates or anything like that.

Same thing... alert at 7am for 2 minutes, nothing shows on screen nothing, my dad also said he would power off the phone and the thing would still go off.

Kind if weird because if you set an alarm and power off the phone, the phone turns itself back on when it's time for that set alarm to come on.

He needs to get to work making his contribution to the glory of the motherland.

    TLDR: I blame Wechat.

I googled it and found a handful of people on the world wide web that have this problem but no solution given.

I'm thinking he's going senile but he doesn't show any other signs of it.

World Wide Web. Haven’t heard that term in 20 years. Nice1
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

I have to admit that I've done this. Smacking my phone trying to turn off the alarm when it's actually coming from the alarm clock

Hijacking this thread I have a Apple XR with a ghost alarm that I cannot delete. I have my normal bedtime alarm set for monday to friday 6.00AM - I stop that as soon as I hear it and then go for my shower only to come back to my phone blaring away at 6.09AM with an alarm set to that. There are no alarms set for 6.09AM and this alarm also doesnt happen on weekends. I dont want to have to reset my phone to figure this out.
