I was under the impression that it was less public money per student, but then again, I sure don't have a source for that, so I'm open to being educated on the topic.

the only info i have seen is on USA charter schools which are very different to Canadian ones. USA ones are mostly are grifting operations.

Even better. Let’s cut the government out of the whole equation.
I agree. But I'm child-less and invest in the best asset class, so I'm bias.

Just like the guy with bible school that wrote that Calgary Herald opinion piece that restarted this thread.

My anti-religion bias will probably show here, but why is there a catholic "public" system? Should need to do like the jews and muslims and run their own charter or private schools. Anyone who is in favour of a strong public system should probably like that idea.
Separate school systems in Alberta don't limit registration strictly to catholic kids. They're open to non-catholic students as well but they will be taught religion in school.

I don't know if that answers your inquiry but they technically are "public" catholic schools effectively.

I'm in favour of all religious education being treated equally and staying outside the public system. However the government funds Islamic schools, that's how Catholics should be funded.

“ The Alberta Education Act requires us to prioritize the enrolment of Catholic students who live inside a school’s attendance area. However, we are pleased to enroll non-Catholic students and students who live outside a school’s attendance area when sufficient resources and facilities are available.”

They are at capacity or over, hence, must be baptized or you aren't getting in.

You use phrases as if they are really effective insults, but I don't understand them. Maybe that's a me problem.

The demographic issues of younger families all living away from existing infrastructure is a real one. I don't have a broad solution, but I personally liked the idea of living near schools, so I bought my housing near existing schools in the inner city.
Smart man, we did the same - all 3 levels of schooling within a 7 block walk of our home.
    Will fuck off, again.

It’s actually not that complicated, you were simply proven wrong, it’s really not that big of a deal, we all make mistakes.

Woke is like any religion. Once you think you are fulfilling a higher purpose rules don’t apply to you
