Hugely successful scam. I personally think its because many Canadians kind of know they owe taxes, but are not sure how it will be collected or the proper channels to contact.

Cocoa $12,000 per ton.
A drop in the bucket, that's all. Doesn't it just seem to all too convenient that this particular scam was caught and then publicized in Canada. Meanwhile, the ringleaders were not caught and likely went and just checked in on their several other dozen mini-operations that are doing the same exact thing.
Will fuck off, again.
^Sad but true. I did recently read that all carries are going to start blocking all calls that have numbers that are not of proper format in the caller ID (i.e. 00000, 123456789, etc). Again, drop in the bucket, but a small step in the right direction IMO.
Oh, found more info here - https://www.rogers.com/customer/supp...-call-blocking

I just realized my new phone has that google call screen feature. I'm going to use that and see how I like it.

Can't live without the Google call screen. Best, useful feature.
