    Default Wine Advent Calendars

I've been looking, unsuccessfully, for a wine advent calendar. I can get beer, scotch, port... even gin calendars. But no wine. In the past one could get Vinebox, but it looks like they have no retailers in Canada at the moment, and you can't ship here directly. I could use a shipper/broker to buy one and send it up, but by the time I pay for that + exchange rate, I could get 12 full size bottles of half decent wine.

Anyone gotten one of these this year? If so, from where?

Also interested in this, think my wife would appreciate one this year.

A bottle of wine per day for a month? Sure why not?

Looks like willow park had one and sold out as per online.

Doing it yourself is interesting, but I’m wine stupid and also the packaging is half the fun.

Seems more doable than the scotch calendar, I got that once and after about 6 days of cask strength doubles I was done with it lol.

When I had a beer advent calendar I couldn't even keep up. I'm not one to drink daily so it was too much but I spread it out over a few months and it was actually pretty nice. Tried 1-2 a week and was much nicer.

Yeah had the scotch whisky calendar a few years back and it was tough drinking a full one every night. It was expensive enough (>$400) that I didn't want to rush through it, so I ended up just having one every second day or so and saved the rest for the year after. Come to think of it, I still have the Day 25th one unopened.

I still have a stack of them in a closet. So many of the scotches were just bad and more appropriate for cleaning drains than drinking.

Idk how I missed the Willow Park one. I called them to see if they'll be stocking more; if not I might just ask someone to put one together.

I could easily finish the scotch one. 12 full bottles of wine in a month isn't ridiculous, it's basically one glass for each of us per day. 24 bottles in a month is definitely more than we would drink normally, but still... only two glasses per day per person. I mean, 'tis the season, right?

It was one of the big name branded ones. I felt really bad because it was a gift and stupid expensive.

“The malt whiskey co.” Is what the bottles say, easy because I still have them years later lol. Should just mix some nasty punch or something with them lmao.

Costco had them but they were a hot seller, worse than TP back in March.

I actually was able to see them in store one evening when I went, but they were on the second shelf and they said their forklift guy was off that day and they couldn’t bring them down. Told me to come back next morning but didn’t get around to it.

    Good suggestions, thanks.

Unfortunately zyn won’t pick up their phone, valley is all sold out of wine calendars.

Just buy 6-12 bottles from one of the better liquor stores. I say do a Spain/Italy/Portugal tour. Picking them out will be fun with the help of the staff.

Went to the liquor store attached to the NE minute muffler and they had a rum advent calendar, complete with a wooden pirate chess. Really wanted it but at 140$ couldn't justify it. They also had a gin one too. No wine tho

I will be doing this. Decided I'm going to enlist my MIL to help make some fun packaging for it as well (it's for my wife).

If you guys want I could probably make a nice box laser cut out of wood. Pretty easy to make it interlocking with a handle.
