    Default Samsung Fold

No interest for this device here?

I had been watching it like a hawk and the whole fiasco about the first version having issues etc. The official Canadian launch was today (only at Samsung Experience Stores). Since there is one in West Edmonton Mall, I just went in and bought a device. Apparently they were only releasing the actual units to pre-orders (apparently that was only done in stores as well). I missed on that because the website was misleading and they acknowledged. So they let me 'pre-order' one today meaning they will hold a unit from the next shipment aside for me - which could be even today or tomorrow; so waiting patiently for that. But played around with the demo unit in the store and it freaking feels and looks amazing. Apparently, it's going to be released on very extreme quantities and the only carrier in Canada that will get it for now is Rogers.

Rumor that Fold 2 would be less than 1/2 the price.

Also Roberto Escobar (Yes, Pablo's bro) is also releasing their version of Royale Flexpi.

Interesting tech but I don't think everyone got it figured out. The Moto Razor seems to get the hinge figure out but still all of them have too many moving parts for my liking. But if I'm getting a folding phone, I prefer Moto Razor's form factor.

shaka gonna sell it before end of the year lol.

But yeah, agreed, I don't think it's quite there yet.
It reminds me of the original Nintendo DS and how big and bulky it is. Needs to be slimmer.

Foldables don't appeal to me personally, but I would wait a year or two until cost comes down (likely significantly) and issues are worked out.

The best executed foldable you an buy today is probably the new Motorola Razr, but the form factor isn't for everyone.

Smaller the better for my phone, Razr has my eye for sure, though Escobar's desire to sink the apple ship scores extra points right out of the gate

Phone. He'll play with it for a few days and then realize again he doesn't like Android and will sell it.

    lol.

I have 15 days to return it to Samsung so if I am gonna get bored of it, hopefully it's within that time so I don't take a $2700 hit as I doubt I am gonna be able to sell it for anywhere close to that on Kijiji lol.

I looked at the Razr but I personally prefer the Fold form factor simply because the outside screen is essentially an entire phone. I tested it out and you could even text message quick ones and what not right outside without having the need to open the phone. Razr's outside screen doesn't appear to be capable of much other than minor stuff.

And about that Escobar phone...damn what the hell is up with that? How is it so cheap? Is it an actual phone that'll work for us? Fuck if it's just the novelty I am attracted to might consider canceling my Samsung and going for that and save over $2K lol.

Wow, $350 and free shipping... kind of tempting haha, looks baller, but also annoying in the pocket

I'd rather get the new Razer than the fold.

With Razr's and other clamshell designs it's just a matter of having a folding phone without any additional benefit except a smaller footprint while closed I guess. With the Fold, I feel like you get two devices due to the book type folding design. Can use for the most part with just the screen outside and when you need to do something more extensive you can open it up to make it a almost 8" tablet.

lol. I want one just cause the marketing. Watch the last video on that page.

In honesty as aggressive as the price is it's probably crap so I am not gonna bother.

That’s fitting because it costs as much as 2 devices.
