Default Constantly being signed out of my account on Microsoft Edge?

Full disclosure, I could be retarded and this could be operator error.

I have to use either Microsoft Edge or Internet Explorer at work so I use the lesser of two evils and use Edge. However, its constantly signing me out of beyond even if I don't leave the forums web page at all. I can have it open reading a thread and waiting for Extra Slow to drop a subtle sales pitch but if I don't interact with the website for what seems to be about 10 minutes the next page I navigate to has me signed out. When I use Chrome and click "remember me" I will either stay logged in no matter how many times I open or close the browser, or at the very least it will auto populate my username and password but not on Edge.

Am I missing a setting? I admit that outside of finding obscure porn my computer knowledge is limited.

Rest all Edge settings back to default.... but this might forget many things. Depends on what else is on Edge.

There's zero excuse for using IE in 2019. Even Microsoft recommends against it because of all the security issues that will never get addressed.

Do you have a adblocker on Edge? I've seen it happen because of an adblocker. I've been using Edge since launch until this summer when I switched to a Mac. Worked pretty well.

^ there are legitimate reasons for people to use IE - one of these is web-based software that only functions with outdated plugins and code that was only designed for IE (back during Windows XP days). I could be wrong about the backend - but things like ASPX code or Silverlight (ugh).

I know many clients in the financial industry (mutual funds. etc) and some still can ONLY use IE for their access to the online database/client portal.

Its retarded these billion dollar companies cant develop something for a modern browser.

Another client recently needed access to some kind of ADP portal and EDGE/IE was the only browser that their plug in supported.

We have a bunch of subscription services at work that ONLY work in IE, it is the nightmare. I can hardly believe how bad of an application that is, and Edge is arguably worse.

For everything else, use Firefox + ublock origin + Privacy Badger + Facebook Container (if you haven't deleted it entirely already)

Chrome is good too, not quite as secure as Firefox can be but so convenient for people in the google ecosystem.

Negative. The client I'm working for right now has everything locked down so hard I can't download an ad blocker if I tried. The only thing I can do in this shitty browser is change my default search engine from Bing to Google. Anything internal has to be done through IE. Its bruuuutal.

I'll try what revalations said tomorrow although its all default settings anyways.
