It's costing us pipelines and goodwill with neighbours that might help us. Alberta has always had this entitled attitude and it's not won us any concessions over the years.
But hey, vinegar is cheaper and I guess that's a good thing in some people's books.
And I think honey works. It works really well. You see it all the time. But we've never done a good job of that and it's laughable that you think we have.
What we need is a PM from ANY party that will decentralize power more to the provinces.
If QC wants to be a socialist paradise, then it can learn how well that works with their OWN money, as opposed to someone elses.
Provinces will have to learn to get a along on their own, for economic reasons, rather that social reasons.
The only thing laughable is that you genuinely believe that social license would buy us pipelines. That’s straight up comedy. Heck I don’t even think you really believe that, or want pipelines at all, it’s just the spoon fed talking point you are choosing to use to justify your silly analogy. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. No one in the rest country has EVER seen Alberta as anything but a bag of money to be exploited. End of the day the rest of Canada is just an anchor that has dragged us down for far too long.

I’ll admit I will / do miss the old you, before you went militant lefty batshit crazy. You could use a vacay away from the internet echo chamber that has clearly warped your psyche.
“I’m going to vote conservative” while spouting NDP talking points lol. Always entertaining.

Maybe if this forum went back to talking about cars and not politics all the time we'd actually have discussions. As it is, whenever I see you/Buster/revelations/etc. I know exactly what is going to come out of your mouth (and vice versa).
I think the difference is you think I care. I don't. This forum needs a counterbalance to the rightwing circlejerk that's trying to take over. I've voted right, I've voted left, and I'm sure I'll keep on swinging.
"Canada has dragged us down". Please. Alberta's done a great job of that. We snubbed our noses at other provinces when times were good and then get pissed when they do it to us. This has gone on for a century and it's fucking hilarious to me that we voted the cons out when they told us to look in the mirror. We should have then and we should be now.
But muh Trudope-Notely alliance. But muh pipelines. Blah blah blah. It's a wonder every other province tunes us out.
I guess that's militant talk. Thanks for the laugh mate.
I dunno I typically find the majority of the time A790 is pretty balanced in his positions. Although to be fair, I've never seen him in the Tripod Headstand with Lotus Legs pose before.

What a bizarre take. Alberta takes in everybody's unemployed. The instant Alberta's economy got better just by a bit other Canadians started pouring back in.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
How does Alberta snub other provinces?
BC acting they way they do isn't new, BTW. They've challenged the power of the federal gov't before and they'll do it again. The place is run by morons.
Also what do other provinces have to do with anything at all? It's the federal government that seems to be the problem.

Is this the right time to bring up Canadian wealth redistribution again to demonstrate how many years the rest of the country has been bending us over??
In Canadian-speak being successful counts as "snubbing".
Can't recall a single time Alberta has put in red tape for out of province projects...
Pretty succinct version of my political ideology honestly. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Albertans have a shitty attitude. Maybe everyone does. But I'm here, and holy fuck do I hate it when Albertans start rambling on about how bad they have it.
So ya, I misspoke. I'll reclarify my point: we have a shit attitude about life and it's not surprising people don't give much a fuck about us.
Like shit, if I lived in Ontario I sure wouldn't.
Like A790 and The Cosworth, I am right (well maybe a better term is very right lol) when it comes to how tax payer money is collected and spent, but very left on equal rights for all, access to abortion, etc. The problem I see is when either side decides how people have to think and behave (to an extent) for example when the far left transgendered person can take a lady to human rights tribunal because she is not comfortable waxing their yet uncut ball sack or the far right religious person says gays can’t get married because it is against the will of god. Fuck people... Live your life by your own rules but don’t force others to conform to them either. This is why I think I am more libertarian than anything but I truly don’t fully identify with any one ideology.
I agree with this CBC opinion piece. Tories need a fresh and credible strategy to win votes in Quebec and Ontario if they want to form government. They can (and should) ignore Alberta.
