Yeah I don't think the offer is dead, cause it's still advertised on their page.

    https://publicmobile.ca/en/ab/plans?network=PROMOTION

I noticed now there's now an expiry on the promo though, so maybe you happened to be on the page while they were updating the details?

Off topic, but whenever this thread gets bumped up does anyone else read the title with a bad Jerry Seinfeld impression?

Whoever designed the steps in how you subscribe and change plans on Public is very good. Switching subscriptions is not only easy, but it gives you peace of mind that you're not going to get overlapping charges.

Am I the only idiot that cant get this to work? Done the set up, transferred number, but when i log in to the app, it sends a code to my email. Punch in that code and says it is sending a code to my phone number. Code never comes.

Fingers crossed - maybe working properly now. Tangled up transferring the number over. Used your code - you are richer than you think

Looks like Public is retiring their loyalty points in a couple months.

The math is confusing, but yeah, this will cost my family money for sure. We have a LOT of automatic monthly discounts that will turn into some pile of points that will not be automatically applied, and will be worth less per year.
    Dang.

Just back from vacation and PM is no longer supporting MMS for many phones. Here's the latest response I got from them:

If the issue is still with MMS, please keep in mind that is an outdated method of sending files and the first recommendation is to use a newer method. You can also delete all the APNs in the settings of the device and add the updated one, following the steps form the website. Also, keep in mind that you will need the wi-fi turned off and mobile data turned on to use MMS

    Thank you, Alex

I have been troubleshooting with them for days...

It's just not normal MMS. RCS sucks too on old phones. Friend has a Sony and won't get any medias via MMS but Samsung/Pixel and even iPhone handles those media perfectly.

According to the PM forums (grain o' salt) some new iPhones and Samsungs are also failing. I'm not going to bother to switch to another carrier to see if this is really a PM issue. $35/month a less is still worth it to me. Don't tell Alex.
