Anyone been out at dealerships this month? Anyone have current inventory of any PHEV model?
To partly answer my own question, I had a short chat with someone from a Kia Dealership. They figure it's a 2 year delivery for the Sorrento PHEV, and about 1 year for Sportage PHEV. Zero inventory. No surprise they encourage people to order with a "fully refundable" deposit.
Been casually looking myself. Interested in the Outlander PHEV. Some dealers expect them to land around November. Since I can’t get my paws on a RAV4 prime and I won’t buy a Kia the Mitsu might be just the ticket.
The outlander isn't very good IMO.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

They are talking about the resdesign PHEV coming soon. It was on my hit list as it was very anticipated amoung the reviewers but i couldn't wait. That said, i am glad i ponied up for the volvo as the refreshed non-hybrid Mitsu interior quality just isn't there. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Really? I found the new Outlander interior to be really nice, especially considering it’s price point. Toyota dealer I talked to said they’re not taking any deposits for the RAV4 prime, at this point it will take three years to fill every order. That said, I’m trying to jump on the first batch of Outlanders. I’ll get a few years down the toad and see if the market settles down a bit. The mitsu can’t be that bad. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Its not, i was cross shopping volvos and bmw's. For the price its not bad at all. But its also not the best in the price segment either imo. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The specs on the new Outlander are here. About 60 km of EV range. More HP than the outgoing model and will be cheaper than the RAV4 prime. I’ll definitely be interested, local dealer expects them 1st quarter 2023.

Actually not hideous.

I think it’s just Prius. It’s a slow shift of all hybrids to PHEV and dropping the Prime name.
100km range makes this pretty much an EV except roadtrips. Sweet spot in EV range.

I like it. I assume it will be too heavy, but I'm tempted to say it might even start to approach an enjoyable driving experience.
Can't they make the Lexus CT200h version of this, again?
Buy an NX, lower it. Same result.

Pretty much, except CT is FWD and NX is AWD.
Looks like this new Prius is AWD similar to the new Corolla hybrid - electric rear drive and gas engine front drive?
An NX is nowhere near that underpowered, is it??!
Front wheels is series parallel hybrid or whatever they call it. Wheels are driven by either or both electric and gas engine depending on requirements through an ecvt. Rear is electric only. No mechanical connection front to back. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Thanks. I’m curious how this would compare to other AWD setups in the winter in Calgary. Probably good enough to get going from intersections in the winter and up the slippery hills? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It does the job. Our sienna shares the same setup, minus the phev battery. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
