soo.... the current gen NSX is getting cheaper and cheaper.. For a true performance PHEV it might be something to consider.

I believe it still has a long way south to go. The new NSX has to be one of the most unloved cars in the last decade. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Why is that though? Just "too much money for an Acura"?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Curious in your thoughts if you've driven it.
Heavy, uninspired. Fast but not fun. Much like GT-R or R8. Another $50K or less can get you a Huracan or 911 Turbo S.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
In 2021 dollar, I still think NSX should be worth $120-$150k new tops. Not $200-$250k.
If I want 90s nostalgia based on name plate alone, I would pick up a Supra (even if it's a BMW).

I has offered one for a day about 18 months ago and passed. It just too heavy, too digital, and there is so many other more exciting options available for less. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Are the Tesla EV's the only ones that are capable of AI driving? or are other brands also thinking of getting onboard with this?
Her cousin just drove a model 3 from Vancouver to Calgary last week - the trip took 14 hours because they had to stop every 300km to recharge for 30mins - 1 hour, which brings me to question 2 - they claim that transportation costs were zero because using super chargers is free in Canada? I cant believe that electricity to recharge a car would be free.
It’s not on a model 3. She probably has credits from buying the car, eventually she will run out and need to pay. One of the Tesla needs can chime in on the specifics.
Some of the early S’s have lifetime supercharging.
That said. Electricity is cheap because coal and natty gas.

Wrong thread, this is for mega PHEVs only.
But if you want cheap driving to Vancouver, just get a Golf/Jetta Tdi. 60L of diesel will cost you $80, and will save you 4 hours of time VS. a Model 3

Yeah likely referral credits, or sometimes towards the end of a quarter they'll toss in incentives like free supercharging for a year. The reality is most charging is done at home, but it's not really that expensive anyways. I don't even notice it on my bill, but you pay more for the car upfront right now versus combustion vehicles. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
You don't save money with an EV. Not now, potentially not ever.
But yeah, this is a plug in hybrid thread. Filthy Tesla talk can gtfo.

The answer is no. Pretty much every manufacturer has level 2 driving. Even a rented rav4 3 years ago has it. They just don’t call it self driving like Tesla. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

If there was another reason to hate VW. It’s for them destroying the lineup of modern diesels.

Her cousin probably bought a 3 SR+ and she probably charged to 90% at every station. You don't have to charge to full, only enough to arrive at the next station with 10% remaining. Tesla's charge fastest when they are less than 50% full. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
There are 2 problems with SR+.
1. Smaller battery, therefore less range.
2. Slower charging speed (170 KW vs 250KW).
That trip in an AWD LR should only take 10.5 hours with about 1 hour of charging time.

They didnt get extended range battery for the model 3 because if you exceed 55k for the cost of the EV (in BC) then the govt doesnt give you a grant/rebate for it, and the LR battery exceeds this. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

You can get a model S for under 55k?

Sorry if this has been asked before but what effect does Winter have on range on the newer Teslas? I was watching some guys 1-year-review of a Model 3 in Canada and he said the range prediction went down by 5km for every 1km he drove in the Winter. This also seems like it would be an issue for longer trips if you are relying on the car to calculate how long you can drive before hitting the next charge station. He didn't mention anything about a battery warmer which I assume is something that you would want for Calgary, if available. Is that BS or is there a way around that?
