'tis the season and I'm probably politically incorrect in some circles but Merry Christmas to y'all. Personally, it's been a busy year for me but I still managed to get out and enjoy a few beers with two beyonders.
Christmas this year at our home is probably the least materialistic one we've ever had, kids are all grown, no grand kids yet (yay) and it was agreed to by all that getting together to enjoy each other's company, playing some games (crokinole), enjoying some drink and food was much preferred to all the hustle and bustle of trying to find that right gift.
Lights are up outside but in the house we went very sparse this year and yet, it has a sort of neat feel to it. Even tomorrow won't be the traditional turkey for us, this year it's a couple of hams - first time we haven't done a turkey at Christmas.
Never the less, here's to hoping y'all will be having a great time with friends and family because the time spent together is more important that the physical trinkets given and received or at least it is that way in our household.
