A few places in SoCal and Austin (or even Houston) top the list. Carolinas and Georgia next. The wet weather and grungy weirdos you find in PNW really don't do it for me. Not to mention the cost of living is high there. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I was about to mention these places myself. Add Nevada in there too. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Seattle is to close, I would rather move somewhere cool, like Austin.

Seattle... lol
Seems like everyone is hatin on Seattle...but why?
Everything seems better than Calgary. Career, weather, ease of travelling (domestic and international), and seafood.

Yo Kanye, ima let you finish, but 50 Cent had the best concert cancellation of all time.
Winters there suck balls. Cost of living is high (think Vancouver). Plus, the aforementioned weirdos. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ease of travel/type of food hardly weigh in on where I pick for a vacation spot, let alone factor into where I'd choose to live full time.
Watched it, huge fucking yikes. I've been to Seattle 4 or 5 times over an 8 year stretch and the city keeps getting progressively worse in regards to homeless and cleanliness. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
What should be and somewhat is a beautiful city is pretty scary/sketchy. Tough problem to deal with to say the least but doesn't sound like much/anything is being done about it going off this story.

At lease Vancouver has great Asian food, weather is basically same as Vancouver. Dark for 1/2 the year.
Career wise, you basically have to get one of those $120K Amazon/Microsoft jobs to get by.

Numbeo to the rescue. Not scientific by any means.
Cocoa $11,000 per ton.
I don't know if I could live in Seattle but I stayed in a nice Airbnb in Carnation when I visited Seattle and could see living a bit out there and still be close access to Redmond, Bellevue, etc.
Went to Seattle a couple times and don't care for it at all. Vancouver works for me but can't afford it.
