Haha, the hail seeding planes are now seeding even little clouds with showers. I think their budget got upped or they got slapped around.

I'm curious what the insurance company would say if they saw the video of the white charger, would they still payout or say the person purposely damaged their vehicle
Sig nuked by mod.
A lot of NE areas got hit twice within 90 minutes about 20 minutes after I left my Savanna job site they got hit with a more damaging hail storm than the one I experienced fir 25 minutes. Nuts. That would explain why I came to a job site this morning with busted windows that were good when I left. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

People are stupid. Insurance literally covers stupidity. I’ll bet 90% of people don’t even know what hydrolocking is.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

No kidding - first I've ever heard of insurance covering that. I've heard of people getting denied coverage for hydro lock but there were other circumstances involved (I believe one was offroading)
Off a roadway or intentionally driving into a lake... You're on your own.
Not sure how flooded underpasses work, pretty easy to stop short, try to figure out how to back out with people stopped behind you and turn around to find your car submerged. I know someone who killed a tow truck in that scenario...stopped yup thats deep go talk to person behind - say back the Frick up. Glub glub glub chunk.
Just heard my moms jeep got hit real bad. She only has plpd, so she's unsure if it'll be covered and hasn't been able to get hold of insurance.
She's had a bad year, just another thing, sucks so bad.

IIRC if you are driving on an actual road and it hydro locks its covered. Had anther friend who had his Porsche covered.
I can see why a car is equipped with dashcam, gps and engine monitoring may be beneficial to insurance. Wonder how many beaters purposely ran into water for a payout.
The buyer of our Coventry house did their walk through today and noticed some water in our basement. Thankfully it was only a little bit and they just asked us to clean it up. We noticed that one outside light cover got broken, but they didn't mention that. That was it. We lucked out that's for sure.
It looks like the same one that was doing loser laps around noon on 17th. Looked in rough shape then. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Wow, crazy shit. I was camping and while we got some wind, no hail. House seems intact.
Big rental company up by airport has 1100 damaged vehicles from that storm. That's going to be a nasty bill.

I wonder how well those parked WJ 787s did. Especially the crown of those ships - they cannot take ANY damage (grounded immediately) as the skin is very sensitive and structural at that point. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Can anyone tell me what the conditions of the road are today?
I’m riding a motorcycle across Canada right now and am slated to pull into Calgary tomorrow.
Is there a huge amount of water still on the roads? Debris?
Appreciate any insight as to how things are going to look tomorrow.
DOES ANYONE NEED A GO-JUICE?
If you stick to the main roads, not a prob. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It’s pretty clean now. It’s like nothing happened.
If only they were this quick fixing potholes
Damn you global warming. Although, I thought it was supposed to be superhot weather before the big hailstones appear? They might want to re-evaluate that condition.
Cocoa $11,000 per tonne.
Not true. I had a buddy a couple years ago drive into a river, had to he towed out as he didn't make it out. Truck went to the shop where they determined water damage (electrical issues) and he was upfront with insurance. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
They wrote his truck off. We were all surprised they covered it.
Edit: I'm not saying that's the rule, definitely an exception to the rule.
