I’ll service my snow blower next week. That should push us solidly into November.

Yeah, but I still need to build another raised cedar garden bed, and lay about 200sq.ft of patio stones. So the permenant snow should be here in two weeks.

Covered my AC, turned it off, blew out irrigation as well. Looked at my snowblower but went, nah, and just moved the leaf blower out. I don't usually need the big boy until Jan/Feb.

I'll be using AC a lot more days before I flip the breaker off.

I manage to store enough cool air thermal mass in my basement at night that running the furnace fan 15 minutes powers through the 4-6pm heat up nicely.

It’s mid October, hilarious that you think it will be temporary.

I feel like tomorrow afternoon is gonna be a shitshow for traffic.

In southern Alberta, especially for Calgary, Lethbridge, Brooks, and Medicine Hat regions, temperatures are expected to initially be well above zero on Friday allowing for possible showers to occur ahead of the snow. As the cold front passes through the region Friday afternoon, temperatures are expected to rapidly fall below zero with snow and strong northerly winds with gusts of 60 to 80 km/h. This abrupt change in weather may lead to hazardous travel conditions, and may occur during the Friday afternoon commute.
