On the + side, no snow to shovel from anywhere as it just blows away from everything.

Everyone on Deerfoot driving like it's only two lanes of course.
some people should just stay home for multiple reasons
had to take my little one for vaccinations this morning, roads seemed ok all things considered

Studs only matter when it's -30 out and all the roads are spontaneously sheets of pure ice. I still like having them though. See people get into a tank slapper and wipe out on a completely flat completely straight road.
Went to Brooks and back this morning and it wasn’t too bad except for wind.
I actually found them more useful during the max ice swings between +5 and -5.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Yeah but the main roads are always salted at those temps, at -30 salt isn't enough and ice forms on roads like deerfoot and crowchild no matter what you do. Saw some wicked crashes on crowchild last year in january from people just losing it going dead straight, and then smashing into the barriers.
Last night was weird. It turned out it was -19 instead of the -13 that was forecast.
I'm looking forward to tonight's low of only -5 as that's much warmer and I'm confident the forecast will be more accurate, for sure. My thermometer must be wrong in saying that it's already -6.6 during dinner. It's definitely not going to turn into something radically more frigid because the forecast is certainly not completely valueless shit generated by monkeys in front of typewriters.
It definitely won't drop to -13 because they can't possibly be off by 8 degrees Celsius. That would be nothing short of negligent!
Still haven't mounted the winters yet on any of my vehicles. Looks like I'll head into December with the same setup.
+16°C next week, lol. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
