Trackhawk isn't adequate for these conditions.
@90_Shelby would disagree with you. He's out there like a little girl in a candy store right now

Wife and I were just down in Kensington dropping off some donations and there was a guy ripping around on the side streets in a snowmobile.

6:00 AM to 11:00 AM for me. I'm the only guy on the block with a snow blower so I do my corner lot, five houses in either direction plus mine and the neighbour's driveway. After that I clear space in front of the houses so people can A) move their cars that are parked on the street and B) have someplace to put out their blue & black bins (fuck the green ones). Then it was up on the extension ladder to clear the two foot drifts of snow off the roof of the gazebo. For those that have a fitbit or other step trackers I hit 22,000 when I came in at 11:00. Good thing it wasn't too cold out.

Five vehicles to be pushed out, two FWD crossovers with people who don't know how to drive, two RWD pickups with no weight in the back and a fuckin' F150 4x4 with shit tires. None of the five of them understood the concept of rocking or that when someone's trying to push you out you can't have the front wheel cranked. IDIOTS!

shoveled for over 2 hours including my driveway and a neighbours along with digging out the cayenne at my first attempt to drive in to work haha
Even with it raised all the way up and on winters I still got stuck. After a few people with big trucks drive down the street and created some grooves I was able to get out.

Most snow I have seen in Calgary since the infamous 1998 St Patricks day snowfall.

I tried to convince myself with getting a real/gas powered blower (in the summer), but this happens so infrequently (I think 2012/13 was the last time anything like this happened), that I couldnt make it work.

The electric one I have is slightly underpowered for this much snow - but does the job just fine if this was a 10-15cm dump.

Haven't you seen wheels spin at 90kph trying to get out of an alley?

Even my Arien gas blower was chugging a bit on this storm. It’s a lot of snow.

That said I am thinking of getting a good quality gas backpack blower/vac for leaf duty in the fall and for stairs and lighter snows.

I want one with some power though. Husqvarna or Stihl probably.

Quite surprised how well my Greenworks 80V thrower did to clear my driveway. I went thru a full 2ah battery and half of the second one but overall was expecting a much shittier experience.

The TRX is just a better overall vehicle for these conditions. Way more ground clearance and a 'fuck you snow' attitude. The A/T tires will make it a great highway commuter in icy weather, it's just a shame you can't go into RWD to save on gas.

You guys with snowblowers, where are your shooting the snow? Guy down the street from me piled it all in the center of the road so a few vehicles have been stuck in front of his house lol.

My cars are snowed in at the back of my house, fun times they aren’t getting out unless someone plows the alley

I’ve also run out of space back there to shovel snow so I dunno what to do

Is it from his driveway? Call it in to the city. Only city sidewalks are allowed to be cleared to the road.

Yes, but that had nothing to do with the situation.

Everyone with a cul-de-sac seems to dump it in the middle so people can drive around it. Otherwise I guess you just do your best to keep it on the lawn on either side of the driveway.

driveway -> lawn and on top of the 2 covered/stored summer-use vehicles.
sidewalk -> lawn, except where driveway, then on to road

I also did the road right in front of the driveway - threw it on my neighbours lawn, but city property lawn (and not over their fence). Its fluffy enough that its hard to notice.

On that note, I was watching a live camera (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iGxFLjqhkSA) and saw some guys digging out a car parked right in the middle of the frame. They were throwing the snow right into the middle of the street. Jeep drove by and honked at them, so they threw a shovelful of snow right at the jeep and flipped him off.
