Except its very rare to get written off due to hail. Especially if its a half decent vehicle or sorta new.

Now with this storm I'm sure a lot is getting written off.... but that Lambo is getting fixed when its worth multiple 100's of thousands $$'s.
Yea until insurance is paying for a Lamborghini rental for your for 18 months while you wait for an entire new body to be shipped from Italy and painted lol.

Insurance will write these cars off all day long, broken windows means water intrusion. This isn’t a PDR repair many of these cars need to be entirely rebuilt.

Yea smashed window will destroy those interiors for sure. And those cars are gone.

But that lambo looks like dents only

Whatever, maybe it gets written off but just because your a lambo driver doesn't mean you get a comparable lambo while its being fixed nor does it mean that it cant be driven until parts are ready to be replaced. I cant imagine its any different the Joe Blow having to drive a golf ball car for 6 months waiting for their PDF appointment.

Packed the cars into the garage as best as possible. Lined up thetwo shortest cars then two blankets (one hidden under the other) for padding.Name: 20200621_154158.jpg

Hail stop planes working OT - now a storm coming in from the North - against the prevailing winds.

There is just a continuous crackle of thunder at my place. Rained a bit. But now it’s sunny.

    It’s super ominous

Hiding under the Northland parkade now in my moms car. Abandoned my truck at my parents and shoved my car back in their garage to rush for cover in their car. My dad is taking shelter somewhere as he was out on his bike.

Out of curiosity, has anybody with an aluminum bodied vehicle (particularly F-150) had any hail damage around here? One of our work trucks was nailed pretty hard with hail a few years ago down on the Blood Reserve and it came out in perfect condition.

I had one with very minor hail at work and it cost a fortune and wholesale cost for PDR compared to a steel truck.

Only two real solutions here., less cars or more garage. Pick one, eh.

My pavement is already dry from the small amount of rain we had not a fleck of hail yet.

Goddamn. Had to pick up a vehicle so we rolled from the NW onto Deerfoot Trail and it was a gongshow.

Tons of cars hiding under bridges so we turned into 32 Ave and came home right away lol.

Hella heavy rain and along with some tiny hail. Probably progressively worse as you get closer to the NE.

I just hand washed my car yesterday too

Had some of the heaviest rain I've ever seen for about 20 minutes. No doubt that caused some localized flooding.
