I am still loving my weak 40V 18" battery electric. Cleared a 25x25 pad on Sunday on 1 4Ah battery. It's weak so it can only go half width without bogging down. I would assume an 80V one can go full 18". It may not bet faster than shoving but definitely a back saver.

Throws distance matter because you try to throw as much out to the road as you can and spread it out evenly for cars to pad it down. I rarely throw onto my lawn because I don't want salt and crap get throw onto it.

I love electric since it's nice a light enough that I just hang it in summer and not taking up real estate on the garage floor. There is no maintenance other than battery care (keep it warm, keep it charged etc).
So your one of those jerks cleaning their driveways... got it.

So that was fun and all but.... Going from 25 foot frontage to 200, that got old real quick

Anyone on here have a noobs guide to snowblowers?
90% for shoveling sidewalks, have a small driveway as well that it will be used for. Want something that will be able to clear really nicely down to relatively clean pavement. No need for a ton of throw, like 5 feet would be plenty.

Seems like you can spend essentially any amount of money on these things.
I've looked a lot into Electric yard tools in general and I am pretty sold on the EGO stuff. Their Snowblower looks to have some pretty impressive power, lots of YouTube videos of it (and the rest of their tools) in action if you're interested. The huge gas ones are better but then you have to store both it and fuel which not everyone wants to do.

Morning trip to grocery in fresh snow before the herd comes, the best.

Left my house at 6:15 to go to Airdrie and got stuck right behind the snowplow echelon. That method works great when you do it right, but of course they half assed it and kept their blades 2" above the snow, resulting in virtually nothing accomplished.

And of course there were asshats trying to get around them

Hopefully none of the asshats got around them and hopefully a few of the asshats went ditch diving.

    Roads conditions are good today.

RCMP are out in full force north of Calgary. They're getting creative where to hide, down in ditches and up on hills. I probably passed 8 RCMP vehicles between Calgary and Olds.

Yep!! I drive in every day on this stretch and always the last few days of the month it is a radar explosion! Last week of the month I always use cruise control no matter what to avoid any tickets.

fuck all to do with safety and more to do with "member X has 30 tickets this month and you only have 15, get on it" - says the Sargent.

I left North Calgary at 6:30 and didn’t see a single officer this morning. Must have showed up a bit later.

Tons of RCMP out driving back from Victoria today and it was a whiteout from field to banff. That wasn’t fun people cutting other people off cause they don’t want to get passed even though it’s the passing zone. SMH

Snowblower is paying for itself just in the last month!

Think I’ve had it out 5 times already.

There was a severe wind warning this morning so why not roll over into a snowstorm warning.
