Is there a reason they are called cube vans? they arent even vans. That was the thing I helped dig out of the snow the other day - I just called it a uhaul sized truck because I didnt know Canadians called them a cube van, in nz I would of called it a light truck.

My wife said all the enterprise type trucks would be cube vans. To me a van has a sliding door on the side.

That article has a mistake. It said "in Australian English" which doesn't make sense because they clearly don't speak English.

We call them that because the front end is from a van. (see Extraslows pics)

Top is simply a "van" or sometimes a "cargo van"

Bottom should be referred to as "box truck"

One day its arguing about the interior of cars, the color red and trackhawks. The other day its about vans.

Really starting to think you're all a bunch of 60 year olds sitting on the front of the beyond porch yellowing "get off my lawn"

The cold has hardened up the snow on the side roads and made it much more pleasant for me to park my car.

No city workers clearing the road in front of my place. Been doing it myself an hour a day at a time.

In theory they will be doing a partial plow on residential streets through the next couple of days.
Over the next few days, crews will be working in the residential areas where they will pack down soft snow and level out ruts to ensure roads are passable.

    Current Status:

Crews are working in residential areas to:
Pack down soft snow and level out ruts. Please be aware that some residential streets are too small or narrow for commercial snow-clearing equipment to work in and, therefore, will not be maintained.
Sand-salt driving lanes (not curb or parking lanes)
    Clear bus pads

I think my main drive is too narrow for machines. At this point it needs to be considered a One-Way street, and could easily work like that if people weren't so dense.
