My main entertainment is watching everyone get stuck outside in the ruts and deep snow outside my house.
Estimated above 30 people have gotten stuck.
Best drivers are actually the delivery guys. They get stuck but can manoeuvre out in a few minutes.
Mike fails to mention that he was one who piled the snow that deep and watches from his window

On a sidenote I think I need to invest in a tow strap and hook it onto the 4Runner as I see way too many people get stuck in my cul-de-sac.

Still struggling with side street parking in my E90. Usually anytime I stop I have to just let it dig down to concrete to get going again. Wish I had a Wavetrac diff

I thought I might be getting stuck in front of my Ex's place when I was dropping my kid off, but nope, I just put it in reverse and the truck backed out just fine from the snowbank. Their van was stuck in a drift a block away when I picked my kid up, wasn't about to offer to pull it out since it wasn't affecting my kid now.

Pulling out anyone is giving them an opportunity to make your life hell when you damage thier vehicle. I mostly won't tow people. I carry a tow strap, but I try not to use it.

Cube vans seem to be bad for getting stuck. Might have something to do with them always having FUCKED tires lol, cheap ass owners

Yeah, that can happen. When I have helped people out, I always tell them beforehand that I am not responsible for any damages to their vehicle, and make them hook up the strap to their vehicle. As for my ex and her stuck van, she has done everything she can to try to make my life a living hell so offering to pull their van out of the bank just wasn't going to happen. My kid was with me now, so I didn't care. Not going to deny i laughed over it, thinking that they caught a sliver of karma. If it was still stuck there when I was dropping my kid back off, I might have offered to pull it out then incase they needed to drive my kid somewhere, but I wasn't going to do it out of the kindness of my heart when my kid was with me. LOL!

Yes, i can be petty, i know.

I haven unfortunately heard some horror stories about this as well. Sucks that people are this shitty and makes you feel bad about being a Good Samaritan.

Small cars rarely have a decent attachment point. That's my main gripe. If something with one of those shipping tie-down points is around I'd be more inclined.

No weight in the back in most cases so the tires are just floating.

Tow strap in my vehicle is for me if I got stuck. Unlike my mask which is apparently for others.

I also build snowmen on the fire hydrant in the off chance someone wants to run down a snowman with their van.

also the towing issue - you loose a crap ton of load rating if you put winters on. we found a set for my 3ton at one point - and i'd have been restricted to a SRW 3500 diesel. in a large crewcab international 4300...

DOT's mean - so you don't screw with your load ratings if at all possible.

Masked Bandit put this to rest a few years ago. You’re good if you have permission and aren’t negligent.

I’ve never been worried and have hooked up to everything from a small car to a city bus

95% of the people who get stuck would have no idea where to properly hook onto their vehicle. So chances are you would need to help them with that and mention that you are in no way responsible for any damage as you walkthrough with them what you're doing.

That may be accurate in a legal sense, but I don't need the hassle. I'll drive a human to safety without issue. Their machines are not my problem.

Im not saying put winters on cube vans, I'm saying their tires are always trashed, no tread, dry rotted, 10+ years old. The privately owned and small fleet ones. The big fleets seem like they can maintain their junk.
