Man, glad we missedall of this, lol. There was a tornado warning at the campground, which scared a few people off, but the storms hit 60km to the west of us, and a smaller one to the east.

Though our house appears to have gotten zero hail, as theres no damage to the garden. South Central FTW!

Whats scary is that its not even real full on t/storm season yet and this happens. Come July when the shit really fires up and its going to be mayhem.

Just realized that the guy down the street with the Buick Grand National left it parked on the street. It's trashed. I always wondered why he started parking quads and his work truck in the garage instead of the GN... paid the price.

Starting to get reports on some of my customers and projects in the city, near the airport. Enterprise’s rental fleet is gone, Mercedes and VW near the airport had their hail tents collapse, one project of mine near them had a quarter million worth of metal clad pipe insulation on the roof destroyed.

Well, can rental companies had too much inventory anyway, this solves that problem....

We are no different than Edmonton in that regards, or Winnipeg - they all get huge storms and mega flooding on occasion. That is the reality of living in the great plains.

The occasional whopper storm will rip through our cities, people clean up and move on.

Calgary conservatively gets about quadruple the hail as Edmonton, so, I'll have to disagree.

I didnt say hail exclusively - they get tornadoes and giant ass storms like we do, but Calgary and the area is in a hail alley.

Back Alley and Mr Sub coupled with complete loss of hearing. Those were the days.

People are stupid. Insurance literally covers stupidity. I’ll bet 90% of people don’t even know what hydrolocking is.
But the very same people probably knows how to double clutch

Thank god none of them had 100 shot of NOS, or those intake welds would have been toast.

Actually, they're both astonishingly the same. They are large cities that experience extreme cold in the winter and fairly high heat in the summer. Each are full of Albertans which are virtually indistinguishable, unless they are talking about how the other city "sucks" for reasons no one should understand because they're the complete same.
The alleged "rivalry" is about the dumbest thing you'll see a Canadian person complain about outside of Thunder Bay. Oilers fans hating Flames fans - fine, we get it. There are just too many Edmontonians thinking Calgarians are like Vancouverites and too many Calgarians acting like Edmonton = igloos while Calgary = Cancun. The minor differences offer plus/minus to each place and it doesn't take Marth to end up going "meh - same".

@revelations saying "they get tornadoes". True. In 1987 Edmonton had a big tornado. I think it's been arbitrarily close to zero for the past 33 years.

    Calgary: more hail.
    Edmonton: no winter Chinooks.
