Saw this on CTVnews. Not sure how Toronto will manage with -12 degrees as a low.

To be fair, I think I'd rather be in Calgary @ -25 than Toronto @ -12...

Weather is bad outside. I drove from Sherwood NW to the deep south SE. Visibility is bad, almost whiteout in some places. A lot of snow, you can hardly make out the road in at all in some places. The wind is crazy... My wipers iced up half way through my drive.
    Stay safe.

About 10cm down here in the slums just to the NNW of ES' place. Gots to go out soon to help a friend replace a countertop in a Airbnb property they own in Sunnyside, slippie slippie.

Last night, Scott Lake Hill. 1.5hr stopped delay while stuck semi's blocking road chained up. You could barely walk on the highway it was so icy. Hopefully better now outside Calgary.

I saw a city bus stuck at Somerset station (at about 01:00). Cab couldn't go more than 60 on Hwy2.

So that was fun and all but.... Going from 25 foot frontage to 200, that got old real quick

Anyone on here have a noobs guide to snowblowers?
90% for shoveling sidewalks, have a small driveway as well that it will be used for. Want something that will be able to clear really nicely down to relatively clean pavement. No need for a ton of throw, like 5 feet would be plenty.

Seems like you can spend essentially any amount of money on these things.

I am still loving my weak 40V 18" battery electric. Cleared a 25x25 pad on Sunday on 1 4Ah battery. It's weak so it can only go half width without bogging down. I would assume an 80V one can go full 18". It may not bet faster than shoving but definitely a back saver.

Throws distance matter because you try to throw as much out to the road as you can and spread it out evenly for cars to pad it down. I rarely throw onto my lawn because I don't want salt and crap get throw onto it.

I love electric since it's nice a light enough that I just hang it in summer and not taking up real estate on the garage floor. There is no maintenance other than battery care (keep it warm, keep it charged etc).
