We picked up 3 weeks, dinosaur, little bow, and either a week at jarvis bay or a week at ziener - prob pick jarvis bay because we can swim in sylvan lake vs no swimming in pigeon lake. Still undecided whether we will bother going to Vancouver this summer or not.
So you booked two sites with the intention of only keeping one?

    This is the problem

Anyone who wasn't able to get sites yesterday, if you have flexibility of dates and locations, the site is working well today. I didn't book any more, but I looked at some options and the site is working fine.

BC Provincial Parks camping reservations open up May 25th. I haven't decided if I'll be heading out that way this year or not.

Well actually we really wanted Ziener however after booking we discovered you cant swim in the lake because of blue green algae; I would never of booked Ziener if we had known that in advance.

Regarding the picture of Little bow campground, Dinosaur is alot like this as well.

I booked a single night at Lower Lake. Figure trying to avoid using restrooms and such we might just try a single night.

My question is that I searched as soon as they opened up, but there were only 2 sites available in all the 3 loops. I would have thought I would see everything open at 9am?

Oh, I didn't realize you can book past the date for which dates are open. I guess it wouldn't make sense if people had to book each day separately, with the chance of not getting the same spot or not even getting a spot at all.

It is a flaw/issue in the way the reservation system works, as its by start date and not end date, but is a necessary evil for the reason you mentioned. It does however lead to the "sliding" of reservations which (in my opinion) has ruined the reservation system and its purpose.

Manual or auto? If auto did you have it in the mode where you can control the gear changes? Can’t remember what it’s called. With the highlander if I leave it in auto the mileage is about that if I control it myself it’s about 16-19/100

Auto, but attempting to make it change gears using the ‘overdrive’ thing where I can shift over to 4 and then back up.. pain in the ass!
