Provincial campgrounds can open at full capacity according to phase 2. Nice. AB parks hasn't announced when resos will open.

They probably don't want to open more reservations until they are actually allowed to let it happen. Otherwise they'll be refunding everyone again.
Was curious about this, I'd hope they announce a date/time for fairness but at the same time that might crash their site again. Might just be easier to quietly add them all and let people figure it out themselves. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If you have kids take them on the fossil guided walk if its on, it might not be on because they have to bus you in there. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Curious if the unit limit per site remains, if not I can invite more friends to the sites we have booked. Only news articles I found mentioned opening the 50% closed sites
sig deleted by moderator, because they are useless
based on going to gull lake, they're not allowing second units on site.. could maybe sneak a tent on and say its for your kidsThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
check their main page:
"second RV units will not be allowed on site"
Edit. Sounds like they just said they will be operating at full capacity.. wtf that means for the booking system, who knows
I expect alberta parks to release clarification before friday. I suspect they were not consulted, and learned of this at the same time as we did.

Yep. Although in normal years I like my kids to find another family to latch into. So it being more full helps with that.

Can I ask how you get away with such awesomeness? My wife always wants to go on some sort of walk or activity. I’d rather sit in a chair. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
First step, grow a mullet, then she won't want to be seen with you at all. Second step, blast Phil Collins around the campsite constantly, that'll keep her nearby, and just moderately horny. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Hearing they may not release all the extra sites all at once, but quietly, one campground at a time. I thin sibbald must have been first, because it's got more availability that I don't recall seeing a couple of days ago.

If you have been looking for sites, they have for sure been releaseing sites campground by campground today. Elkwood just had a bunch of sites open up. Go make your searched friends.

Nice, thanks for the heads-up! I've just snagged lower lake B50 for 6 nights at the end of Aug. Didn't want to pay for power and water at Boulton for that many days, and this site is waterfront, so I can pretend to fish for a few hours. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I think I'm done reserving. Maybe . . . .

Damn, B50 is one of if not the best site at the campground... watch for bears, they love that zone! It was always first come first serve so usually has some old boy that sets up camp for all summer
Is there a way to tell which sites had their extra allocations released? Looking at a few and can't tell if they've already been scooped up or just not released anymore yet.
