Pretty easy to make a case that they shouldn't have nukes... Shooting down passenger planes by accident tends to make people a little nervous you may bump the button.
Yes. Next thing that will happen, accidental nuking of the UK - Sorry.

I keep seeing the word accident used in describing a mass murder. Iran intentionally shot the plan down. They knew what they were doing. The last article I read said more then one missle was shot at the plane.

When people do something bad and get caught they always say it was an accident. I hope to see this word used less in the media as it does a huge disservice to all the families who have lost someone.

Why would the ayatollah ask their military to shoot down a passenger plane with 90% Iranians onboard?

Why is it so hard for you to believe it was mistaken for a hostile aircraft? You do know the US did the same thing back in the 80s right?

No doubt mistakes were made by Iran (specifically not closing airspace), but at the end of the day I am certain they didn’t wake up that morning and plan to shoot this plane down

LOL do you realize the country your talking about? Iran is one of the worst countries for human rights in the world. They kill and murder their own people on a daily basis. You want to try and think logically with a country that's run by people who do whatever they want.

Theres lots of scenarios in which someone would go rogue and shoot the plane down.

In the end they shot multiple missiles at a plane that left their airport. I can only imagine before shooting the missle that they had lots of ways to verify what they were shooting at.

Your perspective is based on a lot of assumptions, as is the perspective contrary to your own. The reality is that we will never know the truth.

This is the true voice of the Iranian people who say in front of Sharif University: - Khamenei is a murderer of his government. #IranProtests#IranPlaneCrash
Going by protests... Khamenei kills people.

Hopefully trudeau finds a bit of a backbone.

A little insight into the background of the private communications between the Iranians/Americans - Ie. public discourse =/= private discourse.

This is something I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt on to finally show some true leadership of a Country, not a couple provinces. But my faith in that is waning quickly.

Pretty much the corrupt Khamenei regime. Other than the bearded guys in military uniforms most of the iranian tweets are pro-trump it appears on this topic.

Well. From what little information there is, it was taking off and a passenger airline which means nowhere near supersonic. It can definitely still be a threat, but usually where it lands, not where it originates from. Obviously someone at the airfield assumed it would be safe to launch.

As for brutality, pretty high on the list. With friends like that who needs enemies?
